I'm staying at Mandalay Bay for two nights via MyVegas and received an offer to move over to The Delano. I haven't booked the booked the upgrade offer yet at The Delano but am thinking about pulling the trigger. Having never stayed at either of these places (even when it was The Hotel), I'm just curious how far it is from the casino at MB to get to our rooms at The Delano? I don't have much experience with MB and I think the only time I've been there was to eat at Stripsteak a few years ago.

Virtually no difference to the casino, though it would depend what part of the casino you are talking about. Basically the casino is huge and situated between the two towers. Mandalay Bay is closer to the pool, and Delano is closer to the mall.

Thank you Dutch! I've never stayed at a non-casino hotel in Vegas and didn't want to be walking 10-15 minutes or so every time I came down from the room to have a smoke, gamble, etc.

stayed at the hotel and mandalay bay before. same distance to the casino. the walk from the delano to the pool takes about 10minutes (for us). you have to walk through the casino. from the mandalay bay elevators to the pool it's about 2mins. the delano is very close to the sportsbook and the poker room.
    have fun!!!

Take the Delano! It takes about 3 minutes to walk from the Delano elevator lobby to the Sportsbook in MB casino. As mentioned, the pool complex entrance is on the Beach Level of the MB Tower, so you walk across the casino to the opposite corner.

As a driver in Vegas, my only drawback to try the Delano would be the $20 per day valet as opposed to the free valet at Mabay.

Though it may "technically" be a non casino hotel, in all reality, it really is a casino hotel. See this map.

If you self park, the Delano rooms are way closer to the parkade than MB. I find the Delano elevators aren't as busy either.

Exactly. There's a separate entrance and lobby, so if you really did want to, you could avoid the casino completely and pretend it's not there, but it's not like Trump or Mandarin Oriental where there's truly no casino on the hotel property.

EDIT: Jesus, that's an old map. Why haven't they updated that thing? Lion King and Shanghai Lilly have both been gone for almost three years.
