I enjoy seeing how others experience Vegas and I like to remember my times at the places mentioned..similar or different experiences.

I write them more for myself these days. I initially wanted to share my trips but it's become more of documenting almost like a journal; reliving past trips and such. I wish I'd done them more consistently on my earlier trips.

Everytime time I go to Vegas I always wish that there was a # above everyone's head like in Oceans 13 with their total win/loss statement. I find the TR's give a glimpse into how the average joe spends their time in Vegas.

I love reading about any updates or changes since my last trip. Also like to hear another person perspective on things - whether it is a restaurant or show. Especially love the pictures they take the time to post to help explain their comments. Since I am a slot player, I usually skip over detailed table gambling and such....just not my cup of tea. :)

I love reading about the places I don't usually get to in Vegas.
Let's face it, unless you are spending a month there, you can't see everything.
So it is fun to read about all parts of Vegas that I don't personally have time to visit on my trips.
For example, after reading some of the Downtown TRs, I am now inclined to visit.

Seems odd for a guy who rarely takes pictures but I love the pictures the most!

Makes me feel like I'm there again.

I enjoy hearing about how others gamble, seeing pics from restaurants I haven't been in, and my favorite has become live trip reports.

In addition, I always go with my wife so I find it interesting to hear about folks going with friends and groups or going solo.

In regards to writing TRs, I see it as a way of giving back. With my attempted live TR it was fun to share what I was doing with folks that like Vegas.

I look primarily for show reviews. After that would be discount tips, restaurant feedback and outing / sightseeing options. I write mine pretty much to share the same type of info and summarize my trip, hoping to help others.

Really enjoy pictures and reading about gambling results.
I probably insert way too many video and pictures.
Also enjoy reading about room reviews and food reviews.

He's referring to me. We go to Vegas from time to time.
Ironically I don't take any notes at all. Considering the amount of boozing that happens on the trips, I just have a good memory I guess and can piece stuff together from the pictures I do take. If you notice, my trip to Vegas is usually half of the report.. and the further into the trip I get, the less details I have :D .

I think the first time I met BlacklabberMike was about 12 years ago now... Probably was my 2nd Vegas trip. I'm over 70 now lol

I like reading about peoples experiences.

If I can somehow relate to a person with their habits, I will try the event, meal, casino...the next time we go.

In other words it gets me to a place I wouldn't have otherwise known about.

The same goes for when I write about something. If it's good..I hope that other people try it out. If it's bad..I hope to save them the same aggravation that we went through.

    That's what I love about VMB...the truth.

    Ah trip reports.
    My favorite thing...
It was trip reports that got me hooked on various and assorted Vegas boards about ten years ago.
I think I have read some every day since...except for the days when I am actually IN Vegas.

I love trip reports from people who are in similar financial circumstances to me. No point to me reading about Skylofts or La di Da restaurants...I will never be there.
I love to hear about the bargains and good values.

I prefer reports that are given all at once. If I sit down with a cup of coffee to read a report and all I have is day one or two I get annoyed.
Live reports can be amusing if you have someone who is truly committed to checking in every day.
I love the pictures for the same reason someone else gave, it makes me feel like I am there.

    I adore writing them.
They are a permanent record of all the fun I have had over the years.

I like to learn about things and places I've never been before. It's also cool to read
the adventures of people you "know". It's also cool to see the rooms people stay in
case I want to check out a new property.

I like the brutal honesty -the good, bad and ugly of Vegas. I get as much out of TRs from folks who had bad experiences.

I like food reviews and fun new drink options. I LOVE when someone posts about a new fun machine with good bonuses. I also enjoy when people try something they haven't done before.doesnt have to be risqué.. But unique and new tonthenposter. Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences,
