We will be checking in at Paris in a couple days and want to do the "trick" for an upgrade. Does Paris have rooms larger than 390 sq. feet besides their suites? What are the "P" rooms and are they larger than the standard rooms and are the rooms with the Bellagio fountain views considered upgraded rooms? A few years ago we got a "red" room that appeared to be about the same size as the standard rooms.

The "trick" (which I've used before myself) may be a bit harder to pull off at major Strip casino/resorts this weekend as occupancy rates have earned Las Vegas the "Busy" label per the Sun's website.

I believe all the rooms are the same size except the suites, have heard $20 trick has rare success at Paris (according to the $20 dollar website), and when I tried it I was rudely told "that won't be necessary, it doesn't work here" Red Rooms are nice, but no larger than standard and are on higher floors.

P rooms are at the end of the hallways with windows on 2 corner walls. The ones with the fountain view are even more premium that the regular P rooms with mountain views.

We usually get a regular room with fountain view. Sometimes can get a P room. We like the 15th floor as there is one bank of elevators that stop and one that starts at the 15th floor.

The P room is definitely larger than a Red Room Luxury. They are at the end of the hall and have an excellent view. They may be noisy since they are over the club. The bathroom may be slightly larger and there is a vanity area just outside the bathroom. There is no clunky armoire taking up space. There is a large sitting area. Even with the noise, I prefer the P room.

Sydney, I imagine that your last sentence was an auto correct and you meant 'noise', but just in case.....Do they have an extra bed in the room for the mouse, or do you have to share?

I believe P rooms are all king bed only. Thanks I gave corrected. I hate an intuitive keyboard!

Most suites as well are 1 king bed and it's always been an issue when travelling with family or friends.

P rooms are great. It had a sofa, desk, chairs and a king bed. The dressing area outside the bathroom was really nice. The tub was small but it had a walk in shower. The view was nice as well. Didn't have any issues with noise.

Thanks everyone for all your responses. I'm presently sitting in my room at the Paris. Like some suggested, the P rooms only have the king bed and we needed the 2 queens. So I tried the trick for the strip view and the clerk said it wasn't necessary for she would give us a small upgrade to the Premiere (spelling?) strip view for no charge. It was really nice of her....... I gave her the 20 anyway. This is a nice room!

Thanks for posting that link. Turns everything you really need to know is on the web...if you know where to look!

I wonder --- in a slow period, is the $20 trick necessary to upgrade?

Glad you got an upgrade. Bally's upgrads me without me even asking about it. Just my natural charm, I guess. My natural charm surely doesn't work at Paris. They give me nothing. Sometimes they even try to charge me extra.

Bally's was good to me, too, just by being friendly to the person at check-in. Had a great view from my room there of the Eiffel Tower next door and the Paris swimming pool.
