Why did they have to let them go, why not just keep them on as regular dealers if they wanted to stay?

Bad news. Another example of free entertainment eliminated. (ie Carnival in the Sky. Lions at MGM, Tigers at Mirage)

Yeah - another stupid move in the overall reduction of the themes of Vegas properties. IP's dealtertainer's were cheesy as hell but a little cheese never hurt anyone and it was funny to watch them

    Word.

No one's gonna accuse any of them of being dead ringers. But they were always good for a few minutes of "only in Vegas" entertainment. I'm not one to pine for the good ol' days very often. But this is a shame.

    Quad Loses Dealertainers...And Me!

I am so sad to hear the Quad decided to fire the dealertainers! They also fired housekeeping and keno dealers who had been there for decades for some of them, and hired outside companies to do housekeeping.

This was the only reason I even went to the Quad/Ling. Seriously, it was the only draw they had that no other casino had. Complained on their facebook pages for Quad and Ling.

Everyone who feels the same, please write to CET and on their facebook pages ect. At least they will know they will be losing some customers, I know I am done with them. Might not change it, but at least someone will see it and know some people wont be back.

I was just telling my husband a few weeks ago, if they renovate the rooms, I would consider staying there because we like to play while listening to
    the dealertainers.

Think Im in a depression. Another Vegas staple gone....Sniff sniff...

Sorry, I just started another thread on this under hotels/casinos.

I am so mad they stopped the dealertainers. To me, it was the only thing they had that no other casino had, I actually wrote to CET, and all over there facebook pages for Quad and Ling.

Not that it will matter, but at least I feel better. Shew! I need a glass of wine. LOL

For sure, man...they were goofy enough and looked close enough to make it fun

One of the appealing things to me with Vegas has been how each property has its differences and themes. So if you are feeling it at one place you hike to the one next door and keep on keepin' on down the line if you'd like....I mean each place still looks different but with all the changes it'll be hard to differentiate one from the other soon.

My girlfriend loved the old IP...she'd drag me there each trip to play roulette with her favorite dealer (older Asian dude named Hai [if I remember right]) and to watch the dealertainers.

    Ah well...

I think it was a good move on the part of CET/Quad management. We all have different tastes. I prefer less cheese in a gambling area and think the performances were no more than a distraction.

    Thanks for the share

Thanks for sharing my story. I just heard from Caesars the dealertainers weren't actually let go. They were offered other positions at The Quad. So, presumably some will stick around and others will find new gigs.

Do we know if they were full time while employed as dealertainers?

Glad to see they at least had some option besides the door. Remembering when the IP was around and the Dealertainers were a tie into Legends, the quality was much higher.
Anyone who has been going to Vegas for awhile knows what they had going was a shadow of its former self. Quite frankly it didn't really fit in with the vibe they are trying to establish with the Quad.
I neither liked nor disliked the Dealertainers. But CET is quickly attempting to shed off the old image and Vegas nostalgia. I fully expect big Elvis will get his walking papers soon.

The strip is shaking off the last remnants of nostalgia in favor of retail strip side shopping, dinning, dayclubs / night clubs and hip new casinos floors. If you want nostalgia of the old entertainment acts,
cheap shrimp cocktails, good gaming odds, and great customer service you will have to look elsewhere.

Only played with the dealertainers one time...killing an hour before seeing Human Nature. Fun hour, but horrible blackjack rules.
