Staying 4 nights downtown on weekend. We've stayed often at GN. Would petite suite at FQ be worth the move? Is pool located at Binion's Horseshoe ?

I have stayed in both and if both were free would choose the Nugget. Four Queens rooms including suites are tired. Pool is at top of Binions.

Well the Carson Tower at the Nugget ain't the Ritz either... long walk from the casino and they are the oldest and smallest rooms on property, though they are clean and well kept.

Agreed and I will still choose those over the Petite suites at GN. Carson Tower rooms as quiet and nicely updated. Petite suites are tired and noisy. Don't get me wrong I have slept in them plenty of times but won't take the wife. Also the GN rooms allow access to the GN pool which is awesome (if a little crowded).

Finally get a Landry card and there is a good chance your Carson Tower room becomes a Rush Tower room.

I've stayed in a petite suite at 4Q. Do they have a large, or full suite? Never been clear on that.

GN long walk to casino from the south tower. GN a great place to stay

Petite Suites at 4q's, about twice, ok maybe 1 1/2 times, the size as standard GN room. Has coffee maker, couch and a couple of chairs with direct access to casino.

Twenty bucks at check in got us upgraded from a standard room to a Petite Suite for a couple of week long stays at the 4q's.

To me north tower GN better than 4q suites and the 4q suites better than south tower GN, but than again we don't like walking.
