We are going to a Thursday night Packer game (Oct 2nd) and the best rate I could find was $199 + taxes. But, one of the few places that didn't require a minimum of two nights. But Jeez, $199! :nono::nono:

100 miles from the house and we do enjoy our beverages, so I wasn't going to drive home along with all all the other drunks at ~11 PM. Free bus rides to and from Lambeau at the front door of the hotel.

We were booked at the Clarion and they closed down for this year for remodeling. Switched our booking to Travelodge and they changed franchises to Motel 6. One night, how bad can it be, right?

Yep... good old "supply and demand"... my daughter flew to Nashville to watch her Titan's play the Niner's last year and Luke Bryan was having a concert the night before in downtown Nashville too. I think she paid $299/night for the Holiday Inn Express downtown.

It's not as bad as ending up in a jail cell or wooden box because of those beverages. I'd tolerate it. Now please tell me there are no resort fees.

I've got tickets to that too, but I'll behave enough to drive home. I'll see you at the game.

Buffalo is the same way...I don't recall the hotel but I had to travel up there for work because that is where our corporate office is located and it fell on the weekend of an outstanding Bills-Browns match up. The company was on the hook for $300 per night for the room and this was something akin to a Days Inn.

And by outstanding game I mean I wanted to let a linebacker tackle me full speed rather than see that game. We sat in the company seats and the final was 9-6

Sell the tickets,go to a nice restaurant or sports bar, watch the game on a big screen tv ,eat a big juicy steak with some good drinks, take a cab home, simple.

There were that many people at the Bills-Browns game to cause those kinds of rates? I'm more shocked by that than the hotel rate :p

Go Packers!!! Time to get a little pay back from "The Worst Call Ever" by those replacement refs a couple of years ago. Have fun Joe. $199 ouch, but going to Lambeau, I'm jealous.

We are part of the Gold season ticket holders package, dating back to when GB played in Milwaukee. So we are forced to buy 1 preseason game and we also get 2 regular season games. We usually go to the first regular season game they play that is part of our package and sell the second one when it gets too cold. That's when we watch it on the big screen at home.

My wife's niece has Badger season tickets, so we usually trade our preseason Pack tickets with her for a non Big Ten game at Camp Randall. No alcohol allowed in the Big Ten if the stadium is on campus and usually the games are at 11 or noon. I hate night games at Lambeau.

Went to Penn State - Minnesota game about 15 years ago. Nearest hotel room was in Hershey, about 80 miles away.

For those who don't know, back then anyway, it was one two lane road into State College, which caused some monumental traffic jams. And the infamous "Nittany Jitney", a motor home, caught fire from an exploding propane tank which delayed things even more. It was about a 5 hour delay. Still made kickoff.

We had planned to hit some bars and sleep in the truck, but I could not find a single place to park in the entire town of State College. So, all the way back to Hershey in the middle of the night.

And Minnesota scored two touchdowns in the dying minutes to win the game.:poke:

Going for the Oct 2nd game. Pack vs Vikes.

I just sure hope they loosen up on all the pass interference/blocking calls they had in preseason games. Just ridiculous!!!

lol yeah...Buffalo is like Green Bay in the sense that there isn't much else to do there except go to the Bills games. Although they have the Sabres too. Extremely loyal fanbase up there!

And professional tailgaters too. Being from Philly the tailgating experience is a huge part of the game and those Buffalonians (?) know what's up!
