I'm trying to figure out what time I should make our dinner reservations for before the Bruno Mars concert on a Friday night. The concert starts at 8pm. However, we have general admission tickets on the floor so my wife wants to be there by at least 7pm so we don't end up way in the back.
I would like to go to SW or Prime or Delmonicos. I just can't remember how much time I should allow. If I make reservations for 5:30 pm. Would that give my enough time to cab it over to Cosmo. I was thinking Prime might be a good choice since it's so close.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

A 5:30 reservation should give you time -- especially if you let them know you need to be somewhere at 7 p.m. Restaurants tend to be very sympathetic with that, given the numerous shows in Vegas.

Different strokes. We could not dine at that magnitude in an hour-plus, whether or not it's possible in terms of nothing more than plates hitting the table with pace. At minimum, go for a 4:30 start if they are even open then, which would give you two hours -- almost enough time -- plus a half hour to get out of Casino Dining and over to Casino Bruno. Can you have that special dining experience after the show or on another night, instead?

We never combine really fine dining with a concert night--a) the time frame is sometimes stressful and b) sitting after eating a large meal is often uncomfortable. It is like too many special things in one night

An alternative plan: eat the the Cosmo (or Aria, only 10 min walk away, or PH only 5 min away).
There are plenty of high-end restaurants to chose from among these three, and you won't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic.
A 5:30pm sitting should be fine if you can walk to the Cosmo show afterwards.

Thanks for the help. We decided to make reservations at Prime for 5:30. It's pretty close so we can walk over to Cosmo. Tonight after listening to Five Hundy By Midnight one of the callers had said that the doors open at 8:00 but the show didn't start until almost 10:00 pm. So I think we should have pleanty of time. Geez so much to do and so little time.
