Well we went we played and we came up Short. We needed 75K to maintain our Platinum status which we have had for the past 2 years and we ended our trip RUNNING to the airport and just 1980 tier credits under the 200K needed for Platinum Status. :(
What will the difference be in our offers if we get dropped to Gold Status?
Is it worth DH taking a one night trip out on Sept to get those extra 1980 tier credits. Just reserving an Excalibur room would take care of that :(.

I know what the site says, but the site is BS. It says you get nightly turn down service for platium, didn't get it until i called and requested it. It says you get late check out if you are platinum, didn't get it. so what are real expeirences with moving down to gold status.

    Please send advice soon! thanks.

Your offers are not based on being plat or gold. It's all about your ADT

Whatever perks you get for being Platinum vs Gold are listed on the MLife website. Aside from that, the only thing I can think of is that the Tier Discount if you book a room on the MLife website might be 25% most of the time for Platinum and only 20% for Gold, but they've started varying the Tier Discounts by property, room type and date, so it's hard to tell now.

With Platinum, you do get the free cruise with Royal Caribbean. Not sure if you care about that at all.

That short trip may lower your ADT enough to reduce offers. Result: pretty card, crappy offers.

Its a crappy cruse that is always booked full on key dates. I've gotten it and never used it because every time I called to book it the dates and cruises i wanted was either not available or I had to pay a upcharge. It was just easier to book on Cruse.com than use the offer.

Can't you get a $750 voucher to use for ANY cruise?

I'll have to check. I got it last year and the year before and was not able to use it so I didn't care to try this year.

Yes. Different levels of Platinum get different perks. Some people get just the 3 night cruise (Bahamas or Caribbean) or a $375 credit. Others can do a 4-5 night cruise - or get a $750 credit. But I had absolutely no problem booking my cruise and was very happy with it. You will have to still pay taxes and port fees on the comped cruise.

GChrome. I think JosieCat is correct so your offers might be better than my. I think My was the 3 night or $375 credit so it did me no good since I'm in Texas and RCCL only has 7 days out of Texas.

So you might have a better offer.

Let's face it - no free cruise is really free. By the time I paid for the flight to FL, the hotel room to stay at the night before the cruise, as the people on the Cruise Critic forum convinced me to NEVER FLY IN THE DAY OF THE CRUISE OR BAD THINGS COULD HAPPEN, the port fees, taxes and tips, etc. - it's not really free (not to mention the gambling bankroll). If you are lucky enough to have any cruise within driving distance of you - that is really nice. I live in MN - so no chance of that.

How much are the typical taxes and port fees on a 3 or 4 day cruise?

I just looked at the paperwork, and for a 4 night cruise, gratuities were $48 and taxes and fees were $99.

Does Platinum still offer free passes to Secret Garden, Shark Reef, Bellagio Art Museum (were there others)?

Where do you find out about all these other perks? e.g. these free tickets and free cruise, etc. Is it listed somewhere? Are there more that I haven't heard of?

Their website only lists these benefits: https://www.mlife.com/pages/tier_benefits_las_vegas.html
