I will be heading out to the Mecca that is Las Vegas this coming Tuesday September 2nd, staying at MGM Grand King room with strip view for 4 nights . Why such a weird day to travel to Vegas? Because it's after Labor day weekend and prices for hotel and airfare plummet after that's why. Keeps a little bit more cash for the bankroll. I've been on this board for a long time and have yet to write a trip report, mainly because I think my trips are pretty tame/lame compared to others on here. I have tapatalk on my phone and will attempt live/semi live updates. Warning though, I drink booze from sun-up till flight home, some updates might be beejay-esque. Ill be traveling with my lovely wife (D) and another couple form college, M and J. We are ages 31-35, we have 2 small kids, the other couple has no kids. M and J are a blast to hang out with but don’t seem to be huge gamblers, at least they do play some slots but no much table games like my wife and I enjoy. Plenty of games in a casino though, I just want to be in one!! I play mostly blackjack about 80% of the time, the other is split up 15% craps and then 5% misc category for roulette, 3 card, crazy for poker, etc..

Not much for planning other than pool from 9am - 3pm every day. Lots of buckets of beer Maybe then hit up a BJ table on the way in to get cleaned up for the evening. Dinner wherever J and M want, they are sort of the foodies in the group, then heavy gambling form 8pm on. I fully expect J and M to get bored with gambling by 11pm so then im willing to change it up for a little while. The wife and M and J should all be passed out by 1am and then ill gamble like a degen to about 3-4am every night. Get 4-5 hours of sleep a night and back to pool in the am.

Ill PM Sonya to try and move this over to the trip report section when my trip starts. Trying to get thru this last week of work is killing me. Thought writing this little pre-trip report might help.

Good luck! Sounds like a fun crew but let's be honest we all know you're looking forward to the late night solo gambling sessions more than anything else. :poke:

Looking forward to your live updates.

Actually yes I look forward to "solo" time, love being on only my schedule. Doesn't happen often being married with children

Good luck and have a great time! Looking forward to your updates. The last week before a trip just drags on & on..... I usually go every March (MM games) and August (hubby's b-day & extended pool time. This year.....our group decided to do NYE so I have a very long wait. Right now my mind is telling me I should be in Mecca....just hoping the time goes fast. lol

You will get zero work done this week. Its a holiday weekend coming up plus you're going to Vegas? Just succumb to the full blown Vegas coma dude. Read old TRs...surf the board for 12 hours a day....get in the Vegas zone and forget about work!

Yeah it's on.....full blown can't think of anything else. Having trouble sleeping already running gambling session scenarios in my head. Can't talk to my wife about it she'll know I'm sick and might not agree to go anymore

Haha exactly but its so hard to overcome. The end of the month is crunchtime for my job and I was sitting at my desk today scrolling through old Vegas pics and dreaming of hitting for about $5k as soon as I sit down in a couple weeks. I was also announcing to anyone who'd listed that I had 13 work days until my vacation started...

haha the last line has me cracking up. You'll make it!

Amen. I've been anxious as hell but today I hit the "this time better move its ass" portion of pre-trip excitement. As I sat at my desk slogging through another long and stressful day all I could think about was six nights in Vegas and only twelve more work days to go until vacation starts.

Have a great trip.... I'll be there Friday the 5th. Hit the POOL for me. I never make it to the pool.

If we meet up on Friday. Drinks are on me....

Good luck. We need to hit the Blackjack table.

Looking forward to your TR. Going the 15th thru the 18th for business. Driving the new Mustang and F150 at the speedway.
Have a feeling there may be some hardcore gambling sessions mixed in with meetings. Maybe even a cocktail or 70.
    Run good!
