We are staying at the Fremont. Can we charge meals at Cal and MSS to our room and (assuming high enough level of play) get them taken care of at checkout?

I emailed my contact and they said no problem, but only the downtown properties.

Since we're on the subject of charging meals to our room. A couple of times while staying at MSS and eating at 777, we asked to charge it to our room and the server asked if we had the ticket they gave us a check-in for charging to the room. We didn't have the ticket so they simply asked for name and room number. Any ever get special paperwork to enable room charges. The room was sercured with a credit card.

Gee, that's really interesting. We've stayed at all seven Vegas Boyd/Coast properties many times and don't recall ever getting a ticket to charge things to the room, including eating at the 777! However, we've also never had a problem charging to the room by just giving our name and room number. (They verify very quickly.)

I stayed at the Cal in late July 2014, booked as part of a slot tournament offer that included a small amount of $ in free food. At check-in, I was given that ticket. I had no idea what to do with the ticket, but the check-in clerk said to show it to the restaurant server/bartender and ask to charge it to the room. I was quite skeptical because in the past $ in free food at the Cal was given in the form of a voucher. When I checked out, however, there were no food charges to be paid, so I guess the ticket worked.

Was it a gold or silver colored ticket?
Perhaps they gave you one and you didn't realize what it was...

Nah, just a white ticket. It covered a few dollars worth of food, not like multiple meals a day or anything.
