    Hello Vegas Message Board Readers!

I'm a first time poster...pretty sure I read trip reports on this site years ago, but the memories are hazy as it's been 7 years since my last trip to Las Vegas. Boo!

My first trip to LV was in June 1999 for my honeymoon...I was 24 almost 25 years old. My husband and I returned almost yearly after that until our last visit in 2007. Bet you can guess what kept us from coming back? Yep, we started a family. We have 3 daughters who are now 5, 6, and 7 years old. Our last trip seven years ago I was pregnant with daughter #2 and daughter #1 was 9 months old (we had also taken daughter #1 when she was 11 weeks old)....my in-laws live in Utah, so Vegas was always a stop for us on our drives from Houston, TX where we lived for 16 years until we thankfully moved to Colorado last year (Sorry fellow Texans, after 30+ years in the Lone Star State, I don't miss it!).

Well, I learned very quickly that Vegas is indeed not for children (we did not get to see The Wynn after it opened, because we had our bundle of joy in a stroller at the time) and thus I spent the next several years either pregnant or nursing our lovely daughters and doing a self-imposed hiatus from my favorite place in the world.

Well, I'm back and it's for my 40th birthday!!! Not happy at all about the big 4-0, but very happy to be returning to Sin City after all of these years. My absolute best visit was a decade ago when I turned 30. This was the only trip I flew to LV (because it was September and I worked at the time). It was awesome, I was on top of the world, and life couldn't be any better. Fast forward 10 years later and life is sooooo different! I'm a stay-at-home mom now, I live in a different state, and I have stretch marks! But after 7 years, I'm going back!!!! This will also be the first time my husband and I will have been away from all three kids for a week, so double yea! September can't come soon enough!

So, I would like to thank all of you posters for the great trip reports, restaurant and hotel reviews, and all of the other great advice I've been soaking up for the past few months. Let's put it this way, there was no City Center the last time I was there, and I believe Planet Hollywood was still The Aladdin, and there were definitely not as many day/night clubs, so a lot has changed, and I've had to re-learn the way things roll there. I kind of feel like a Vegas Virgin.

I'm a slots and video poker gal, while my husband is a non-gambler unless he needs a drink and will park himself in a chair next to me. I've got lots planned including my first stay downtown (Golden Nugget) and my first time staying at The Bellagio, visiting the Mob Museum and the Neon Boneyard, drinking delicious cocktails at several quirky bars and lounges, dining at Picasso and Giada's, renting a cabana at The Bellagio, seeing the Beatle's LOVE, and of course trying to get in as much time with the one-armed bandits as possible. All this while trying not to be a wimp and crash before 10pm each night!

I love reading the trip reports and hope to do my fair share by writing one too. I would really like to try a live one only because it might actually be easier to do it while I'm kid-free instead of juggling a trip report write-up with the demands of a kindergartner, a 1st grader, and a 2nd grader when I return. We'll see! Thanks for reading such a long intro.

    Cheers!

Welcome......you'll be amazed all over again, you'll totally love it !

I have always wanted to stay at the Bellagio, the casino is so nice I always imagined the rooms to be great.

    Good Luck
