On their FAQ: You may check-in anytime after you arrive at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Your room will be available after 3:00pm. You may store your luggage with our Bell Desk, at no charge, until that time.

My dilemma is that I arrive on Thursday night around 10:30 PM but I am not booked into the the hotel until Friday. I have a comp room at Luxor, courtesy of MyVegas for Thursday night instead.

What I was hoping to do is go straight to the Westgate from the airport which should be around midnight and check my bags and hopefully get assigned a room for Friday when it becomes available? I just wanted to beat the Friday crowd of people who'd be checking in as there is a major volleyball tournament happening at the convention centre and i know most of the teams coming from my city are arriving Friday morning/afternoon. Wnat to make sure I have a room incase they overbooked.

I was wondering if any one has had any experience with check-in early. I read on a forum that someone had checked in at the Luxor early morning around 7 or 8 and was given their keycard for the room and the hotel told them that they would text/call when the room became available.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Seems like a strange plan to me if you're planning on going back to the Luxor to use your MyVegas room. The hassle of getting a cab to Westgate and then back to the Luxor after a late arrival would seem to outweigh the expected check in delay. I've never heard of anyone but a High Roller getting a room assigned a day early. Just get there nice and early on Friday.

I agree with aaisack. I would just go directly to the Luxor, play a little, get some rest, and then head over to Westgate early in the morning and still beat the crowd.

Thanks for your input guys but getting up early to get to the Westgate is precisely what I wanted to avoid too if at all possible since I don't feel like trekking early morning with luggage to the MGM to take the monorail.

At least when I land I'll be running on adrenaline so I'll have energy to do stuff...you know, first time in Vegas and all.

    lol

I understand, but your odds of getting a room assigned the night before are basically zero unless you have a host. You could always try to book a room at the Westgate for tonight and forget about the Luxor? A room for tonight would probably run you less than a hundred bucks. If you're anything like me you could also just gamble all night. I usually forgo a room when I fly in late, stay up all night drinking and gambling, check in as early as possible and then crash.

Back in the day when Flamingo was still the Flamingo Hilton and had a check-in area at the airport, I was able to check-in early at 8AM and go right over to the hotel to my room that early...
