We finally decided to try this place as we had a buy 1 get 1 free my vegas coupon. I really wanted to like this place as I am a huge fan of Monte Carlo. When we walked up to be seated, there was a group of 4 guys who were inebriated beyond belief sitting at the first table as you enter. One of the guys looked my mother straight in face and yelled "my pussy" to her. I then proceeded to tell the guy to shut the hell up. The hostess seemed very annoyed by this guy and apologized to us. Trust me, I understand its vegas and it happens, but the restaurant should be responsible enough to make sure their patrons feel comfortable. That should of been our first clue to leave. We were seated and it took over 10 mins to have our drink orders taken. I ordered a salad and added shrimp which was good. My husband ordered a burger and said it was average and my mother ordered the salmon sandwich which made her sick later that day and the next day. While waiting for our food, there was a huge crowd of people on the patio getting drinks and name tags. We asked what they were doing and they said a "bar crawl" was starting there. It was annoying to me that this was going on as it seemed all the attention was going to this group and they were not even eating. People in the group were coming in and taking tables that others were waiting for. It just seemed like a real cluster. Now lets go back to our drunk group of guys who were sitting by the hostess stand. They proceeded to bother more people as walking in and made passes at girls. Come to find out, they were apart of the bar crawl and should not of even been sitting where they were. Management should of taken care of moving these guys outside where they would not bother their patrons. The guy who yelled "my pussy" to my mom later proceed to go behind the bar outside and pour himself a shot, all while the bartenders were no where to be found. Again, I understand this is vegas and things like this happen, but you should not be subject to this while paying to have a meal. I guarantee you if this happened inside Monte Carlo, they would be long gone. Not sure why Double Barrel supports this type of behavior. Pretty sad that someone who was not even giving them business chased our business away forever.

Wow, that's pretty bad! And that is SUPER nasty that some random guy is touching anything behind the bar. How unsanitary. Gross.

We did not have a good time at DB (pretty sure we now know what that stands for!). We were there in May. We ordered margaritas. The worst margaritas I've ever had in my life. Their "specialty drink" menu had absolutely nothing appealing. I don't like peach schnapps or blue curacao and one of them seemed to be in every drink! I don't remember what my husband ate, but I had the buffalo blue cheese chicken sliders. They were edible, but not good. The service was a joke, it wasn't busy and took our server FOREVER to see what other drinks we wanted.

    We won't be back either.

In spite of their ridiculous tacked on taxes for entertainment and service, when I went in May, the food was actually very good. We brought a group of 10 there last week.......we should have turned around and left when the hostess very rudely, complete with eyeroll, said we'd better be able to make up our minds and order in the next 10 minutes as the kitchen was closing at 11. 5 were in the taxi behind us and didn't get let off at the corner so must have been making their way through the hotel. The hostess had said she would have tables put together for our group on the patio but that hadn't happened yet by the time the remaining 5 arrived, so we did it ourselves and then caught hell from the waiter saying we'd better be ready to order. Uhhhh, perhaps some menus please. Everything I'd liked on the previous visit is no longer on their "scaled down summer menu" according to the pissed off waiter. There was still a band and a bunch of people, no one was leaving but anyone working there was super pissed off to to wait a table ordering food. Honestly only two people enjoyed their food which makes the decision to never return an easy one.

There is an older thread talking about DB that I posted in. In short, the service was probably the worst I've ever had, anywhere. I thought the good was good but won't go back until I hear the service has greatly improved. And it sounds like that hasn't happened yet.

The Pub at Monte Carlo is light years ahead of this place.

Do they still charge the entertainment tax? I never noticed it on our ticket but there was no entertainment while we were there.

Also, I was chatting with one of the bartenders at Monte and they were telling me that while the girls are dancing in the pit (which they do not have currently) they have to charge an entertainment tax for all beers purchased at Ignite. Just thought that was interesting.........

there were girls dancing last nite as i walked by as for the tax i dont know i wont go in there

most places include the tax in the bill, like like clubs , concert venues and even when you buy a ticket for a show it says your price includes a live intertianment tax, they dont seperate it out.

Wow, as a small restaurant owner myself, for a group of 10 at last minute, I/my employees would kiss your a** for coming in.

Not only is that extra revenue for the restaurant/bar but extra tips for the wait staff.

If I had word that a customer had this type of treatment, that employee would be out the door in a heartbeat.

It just amazes me as the wait staff is trying to make money but do not work for it. The bar is still open regardless.

I use the same quote in my employee meetings as one of my business teachers told me "The customer is always right but may not always be correct".
