Have any of you used your comped rooms and let friends stay in them? My wife and I are comped threw MGM in Oct. We have another couple that would like to come along but are not wanting to pay the price to stay at MGM. I checked and have comped nights also with Bally's. If I booked the comps threw Ballys, checked in but just let them stay in the room am I just asking for trouble. I am not really worried about them trashing the place or charging to the room. The reason I am considering doing this for them is than they can afford to fly out of your hometown airport with us and not have to drive 3 hours to another airport to be able to afford to come.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Many of us have done it. As long as you trust your friends, the only real downside is that it will hurt future offers (assuming you don't play much or at all in the casino you're booking for you friends).

I would recommend checking in with your friend. This way you can use his CC for incidentals so you don't have to worry about having him reimburse you later for any charges. At a minimum, make sure that his name is added to the room so that he doesn't have to bother you if he loses his key at 4 in the morning.

As long as you dont mind mind putting your cc down for in identals, i dont see any isssue.

For future offers, i would make sure you gave them your usual amount of play or better yet give your friend your players card and have him play for you and at atleast your levels or better. Lol

I do this all the time and I know many people who do it also. Its not a big deal, but yes it will hurt your offers if you don't play there. Also one time I did it for an acquaintance of mine of charged $100 to the room and never told me about it.

done it many times, almost always checked in with the other parties and had one of them throw down their CC for the incidentals. The CC doesn't have to be from the primary comped player.

I usually check in FOR the friend, they are NOT there, using MY CC, and just put their Name on the room.
I get 2 keys, go Up to the room and see if everything looks kosher, and leave One key on the bed for friend so they have an add'l key,
and keep one for myself just in case.
When Friend arrives, they just show their ID at Front desk and pick up One key, and go to the room. Easy.

    CalifLovesVegas has it right.
    1) Either get there before your friends and check in with your name and one of their names (2 people total), go up to room and drop off key on the bed, (note: your cc will still be used for all incidentals, your offers will deteriorate if you don't record your usual play at the property…I tell my friends that they can have the room but must play using my card.) Your friend with the name on the room can then pick up 2 more keys when they get there and head up to the room. (Only friend with name on room can get a key or charge anything to the room.) or
    2) Check in with only one friend (2 people total) at your side and get keys and have them transfer the credit card being used on the reservation to one of your friends cards. Then when not near the desk give keys to your friends and that's that. Again, only friend with name on room can charge anything to the room or get a new key to the room.
    .
If you present yourselves as 3 people at the front desk it sets off alarms in their heads. They may charge you for an extra person or might be looking for you to 'slip up'. Just approach the desk with 2 people.
