Is the Total Rewards credit card still giving away the buffet of buffets pass when you sign up? I can't find anything about it on their website or FAQs. I see they're doing High Roller passes though.

I think it was here on this board that I read the High Roller passes replaced the buffet deal.Still the card is a great value and will keep it as long as the Platinum status lasts..

Thanks! That sucks. I'm contacting them in hopes that when I signed up in March maybe I still have it available since I don't know when it was replaced.

Does anyone happen to know when the High Roller passes replaced it?

You should have received a coupon for it in the welcome letter if it was available then..Good luck though..Have a great time at EDC!

Yeah unfortunately I just ignored most of the paperwork they sent me. I contacted them through their website. Hopefully they'll be able to tell me so I don't have to go through the trouble of asking at one of the buffets. It would suck to travel all the way over there and be told no.

I was under the impression that you were upgraded to Platinum status for the first year when you got the CC.

After the first year you have to earn Platinum status to keep it.

I wonder if they'll do that indefinitely? I guess only time will tell.

I'm guessing since I signed up in April with a partial year that ended in December, they extended mine and others in this 'New' Visa promo.
All tier points expire 12/31 of the year earned but status remains until March of the next year.
I doubt they will extend mine for next year but would be awesome..I'd even pay a $25 yearly fee for the card to escape resort fees and ability to use the check-in area at the Rio..

If you got the TR Visa Card this year, your Platinum status is good until March 2016. Same as if you earned Platinum via gambling. If you earned Platinum/Diamond this year, it is good til March 2016. Tier points expire each year December 31st.

You do not need any paperwork in order to get the buffet passes. Take your card to the Total Rewards desk and they will apply to your Platinum card. I think the passes were only good within 90 days of getting your visa card.

I thought it was good for 6 months? Anyway, I called them and found out I got it when I signed up. I guess I'll have to call them again to find out if I can still use it for my upcoming trip.

No they were good for 6 months after the card was issued.

Definitely recommend to sign up for the TR visa card. Mine came with the 2 Buffet of Buffets passes which did not require any paperwork. The clerk looked up my account, loaded both mine and my wife's TR players cards with the buffet passes. Word of caution.... once they load the card the 24 hour clock starts so plan on it expiring the same time the next day.
The most benefit we loved is the upgraded Platinum status you attain by getting the Visa card. Not only at the buffet lines, but also at the casino cashier lines. Several times during the trip I had to cash out my chips but ran into a huge line. The special platinum status line saved many minutes so I could get to the next activity fast.

So I called and I got the buffet of buffet pass. However, it was only good for 90 days and expires June 5th for me. Ummm I'm not going to be in Vegas before then. Poop. If only I had known about this earlier and paid attention to stuff they sent me.

You are only suppose to get two passes for the high roller, but you got two passes for the buffet of buffets instead, or are you getting both?

A friend of mine got the TR Visa apparently just before they changed it from a free BoB for two to the High Roller deal instead. Anybody know if CET will still honor the BoB pass (it is within six months of issuance of the card)?

I got one right before it switched, too. But it was only available for 90 days after the card was issued, not 6 months. But they do still honor it. Mine expired last week.

I got my card at the end of March 2014. It included the BoB pass. It specifically states on my pass "Offer expires six months from the month you received your Total Rewards Visa Card". I plan on using the BoB pass the end of August. Must be different terms on these cards.
