Not to get far off topic, but does Border Grill still charge for tap water? I remember reading that a couple years ago and that instantly turned me off the place

Tacos El Gordo seems to get good reviews. I will be trying it next week.

Cabo Wabo at Miracle Mile (Planet Hollywood) gets poor to mediocre reviews on Yelp, but Dad and I both enjoy it and make it a must when we're in Vegas. Mexican is always our go to food on vacation and we like Cabo.

Best street tacos on the strip! Located just North of Encore. Go early and read the reviews on trip advisor to help you order. Sometimes the wait to order is 30-45 minutes or so........but well worth it!
Been there many times and can't wait to go back. :nworthy:

I think they still charge 50 cent but i guess its supposed to be purified in some type of system. I never drink tap water in the US even if purified so i don't know if it taste any better. Either way the brunch is excellent on weekends and you should give it a try, its the only reason i visit south strip and Mandalay Bay in recent trips.

Also seem to be a lot of love for Javiers so i guess i have to give it a try when i go in 2 weeks. For some reason its never been on my to eat radar even when staying at Aria.

Tacos el Gordo is great for a quick bite and super cheap but you can't compare it to a good restaurant.

We love the Border Grill's weekend brunch, but it is hard to beat Tacos el Gordo for fast, casual Mexican on the Strip.

They haven't charged me for water in the last 3 years or so. I think they stopped doing it cuz people hated it.

Big Javier's fan. Love eating at the bar. The bartenders are fantastic along with the food and margaritas.

Any love for El Segundo Sol? We have a Restaurant.com certificate we thought of using next week.

I've used the restaurant.com certificate there. It was pretty good. Better than average. Its pretty hard to mess up fajitas. I consider it a great deal with the certificate. I also went during October when it was still a bit cool outside and sitting outside at night looking at all of the lights on the strip made for a good time.
