    My Trip Report

So, the last couple weeks have been really stressful for me. On Tuesday my wife suggested we get the hell out of dodge for a weekend so I could unwind.
That's why I still love her so much. I went on line and checked all my offers. I decided we would spend our weekend in Laughlin.
Why Laughlin? Vegas is only and hour further, and I just didn't feel like the big city. O, and Harrah's Laughlin comped me a suite for three nights.
Hey, I can't complain, I'm sitting here in the jetted tub writing this.

The drive from Phoenix was smooth and un eventful, just your basic 75 miles of rush hour traffic from the southeast valley to Wickenburg. ( I'll be long gone before they actually build the vegas to Phoenix freeway/toll road).

We arrived around 10:30 pm. Unpacked, and hit the bar for some not so great pay tables. But not to worry, even with the weirdo double betting just to get the progressive ( I call it double double double bonus) I managed to hit this to stay even.

As I am heading to the room I stop off, inset $50 and get to see this.

Thus morning we enjoyed a nice room service breakfast. Flare (my cute little nickname foe my wife) opened up her laptop fired up the cell phone and started working,
    My morning had no plan.
    Golf? I brought the clubs
    Pool? Have bathing suit

How about Baileys and coffee at the bar. Now that is a plan I can get into. And just to make it perfect I am going to use Flusher's strict rules of parlay.

    *** no picture here ***

So after blowing through 5 $20 bills and 6 coffees. I'm starting to get frustrated, "I know this parlay thing will work, just give it time"

I go on a boner deluxe search. And search and search and search. Then I find it, on this weird multi play super bet your life away game. I put I 50 and ....

Of course I cashed out, and then proceeded to give it all back 50 at a time. But it was a great time.

Sounds like a relaxing trip! I don't know why, but I have love for some Laughlin time. I've stayed at the Colorado Belle a few times and I've enjoyed myself. It's nice to walk the river in the morning.

My wife and I stayed at Harrahs Laughlin on Sunday the 4th. We decided that instead of driving through the night to get to Vegas on Monday, we would leave the day before and stay the night in Laughlin. That way we could get a good nights sleep, get up at a reasonable rested hour, check out, head across the river for cheap gas ($3.33 at circle K, instead of $3,87 in Laughlin). We had some free play and dining credits at Tropicana so we went there first. Blew through our free play and then had a couple very good Rueben's with fries for basically free. Hopped over to Harrahs, checked in, played our free play and a little beyond. Crashed, got up at 6, showered dressed, grabbed a free breakfast at the 24 hour Beach Café with dining credits for the road and was at the Binions parking garage by 10.

Going to spend a nite at the Golden nugget Laughlin. Maybe im getting old or something but i love video poker and they still have coin in machines. Also love the riverwalk and river taxi. Then off to Oatman Az. for a few hours like that old mining town.

Spent a night there in March

Dont remember seeing any coin in machines , we played mostly bartops .But I AM old ,so thats my excuse for everything . Now,next door at the Pioneer they had machines that payed off in coin if I remember correctly. Enjoy Laughlin, the older we get ,the more we love it.

Well, now that I am back in the office, inbox full of exciting tasks and a list of employee issues to solve, I decided to prioritize my tasks.

    let’s finish the trip report.

I head up to the room, make a drink and relax for a while. (I also started the trip report)

After some typing and a nice nap, Flare was wrapping up her day.
We went down to the café and enjoyed a nice lunch, Flare had the chef salad and I opted for breakfast again.

Then it was over to the nickel VP machines for some action.

Flare is not a big gambler and prefers to play the nickels. We both put in $20 and off to the races we go.

I explain Royal Flushers Rules of Parley to her. She gives me the look and says “I don’t care what he does, I’m playing my way”.

Now, I don’t know why, but she always hits a ton of Full houses and she was at it again. She hovered between $18 and $24.
Of course, I decided I would switch up to the 10 cent game and show her how to make some $$.

Ha, what a laugher, I managed to blow through $100 in an hour and a half.
    50 cents at a time.
    I only hit one 4OAK

After that debacle, we decided to head down to the Aquarius so I could play some Bonus Deluxe.
We found a bank of machines 5 cent thru 25 cent. We both put in our Twenty. Flare on nickels and me on quarters.
After a few hands I hit one my goals for the weekend.

Then I proceeded to play that out, insert $100 blast through it,
    inset $100 blast through it.

Frustrated, I did it one more time,
while Flare managed to hit quads 5 times and double her buy in to $40.

She decides I have tilted enough and we head across the street to the Outlet Mall for some shopping.

Me being the “Loving, Supportive, Agreeable” husband I am, I made a mess of the shopping trip until she just took me back to Harrah’s.

Sorry honey, that’s what you get for taking a drunk, on tilt gambler to the mall.

After we are back, I head back down to the casino; I hit the Super Times Pay and manage to pull this off in half an hour with just $20 investment.

I cash out at $175 and head to the room feeling good again.

A friend of mines dad swears by Laughlin, he gets good deals on flight and rooms, and loves the casinos there. I have yet to hit Laughlin- someday I will. Looks like you had a great trip, and thanks for the report.

    Saturday

I roll out of bed around 9:30 Saturday morning. Flare has already been down to the gym for her work out.
We go down to the Café and I have Breakfast for the third breakfast in a row. :licklips:
The Day is planned out. Flare is going to go back to the mall, without me.

I can do whatever I want.

We will have dinner around 6:30 and go to a show.

We the only show is the Divas,
a special engagement all the way from the Las Vegas Strip.

I head down to get tickets around 11:30 only to find the box office doesn’t open until 3:00
Gee, 3 ½ hours to kill, what to do. I think I’ll try some more VP.
I blast through $500, jumping all around the casino.
Single line, STP, Multi Strike, I was even in the high limit room for a few minutes.
Nothing, nadda, zilch. I was completely VP card dead.
I gave up, walk over by the Kino lounge to check the time.

Wow that took an entire 45 minutes.
I actually found a clock in a casino.

took the pic later before the show.

I start through the casino with all intentions of taking a walk and enjoying the river a bit.
I make it to the Roulette table, stop buy in for $100 and that is where I spend the next 4 ½ hours.
I had a blast, work my way up to about $300 slide down to $25, hit and work it back up. The Roulette roller coaster ride was a blast.
Along with multiple Captain and Pepsi’s I had.
I left the table with $275 and was back in the room by 5:45.

    The Show.

Flare was intrigued with the show and thought it would be fun.
After about 15 minutes I looked over at her. I have never seen that look on her face before.

I smiled, and did my best Ace Ventura “Finkle is Einhorn – Einhorn is Finkle”

I guess we expected the guys to do decent impersonations, not to just dress up and lip sinc badly, and I mean really bad.

Maybe this was just a training show for new recruits or something.
I can’t believe the show we saw could make it 30 years on the strip.

    Final review..

But we still Laughed and had good time, just at their expense.

After the show we walked the floor a bit to people watch and that was it.

Breakfast in the morning, we checked out with a total bill of $17.50 (tips), hopped in the car and we pulled into the driveway by 1 pm.

Mission accomplished, my batteries are recharged a bit and I am in a much better mood.
