I think that pretty much ends the debate on whether the game will close up shop any time soon.

Wow -- $10 million in reward redemptions? I'll be doing my best to contribute to that total soon!

I'd be curious to know how much money they've made off of people purchasing chips.

Definitely this. And also something that easily can't be quantified, how much more myVegas players gambled in MGM casinos. Well, I guess than can quantify it by those who used their MLife cards while playing. Aria got me for about $65 this last trip (but my theo was a LOT lower than this...:wink2:).

But what I'm a little surprised by is that only 1 in 8.5 daily players have redeemed so far?

Its also not just people purchasing chips, they make money selling chips to third parties who use them for marketing purposes as well. All of those companies that allow you earn chips by filling out a survey, signing up for their site, etc.

I was surprised to read this too, 12% seems lower than I would have expected.

I'd like a better definition of daily player. 850,000 average players every day? Have played at some point in last X days?

Exactly. That is where they make the majority of money from this game. Many times more than from people buying chips. Not just gambling, but food and drink sales as well.

Take the Cirque tickets for example. You have to pick them up by 4pm, giving you 3 hours to kill until the 7pm show. There's absolutely no reason for this, other than to make you spend time, and therefore money, on the property.

Yes and no. If the tickets aren't picked up, that gives them 3 hours to try to sell them to someone who is actually there with money in hand wanting to buy them to see the show. That plays a role I'm sure.

You can also pick up the tickets days before and at other Mlife properties.

They have changed this policy. You can still pick up tickets days before, but you can no longer go to any Mlife property. You have to pick up tickets at the show's box office.

I'm actually one that has had no fear this would ever end. Between social media outlets and forums, I could tell the popularity is huge (as it should be). Between chip purchases, ads, and sponsors, MyVegas has to be hitting it pretty well.

The properties are winning too. On our first trip to Vegas, we wanted to go to a Cirque show, but we had a limited budget. I was able to land BOGO tickets to KA thanks to MyVegas. MGM wins because they sold an extra ticket, and we went to dinner and gambled some there on site before the show.

It will stay around for sure

I am one of those who used myvegas for a recent trip.

Had Ka tickets and a couple of buffets.
Went to pick up the ticket same day with the wife, stayed for a couple of hours and played in the casino so obviously that is money they wouldn't have made if I had not gone to pick up the tickets and would have ordered regularly off the internet.

I did win a $811 at Willy Wonka, so maybe they didn't want me there...
Mlife really know what they are doing with this reward system, the social rewards scheme where you watch movies is much less engaging and I can see where CET can do well to copy MGM.

There are people commenting on that article that say they have well over 1M chip chips... I've been playing (almost every day) for 2 months now and have just over 20k on my phone app and 20k on the fb app. These people MUST be paying quite a bit for extra chips as I have been playing for free this entire time.

Well it depends how much you play each day too. I play almost constantly 8 hours a day at work, and I have accumulated about 80K in chips over the past few (maybe 2-3) months. I don't play on the weekends.

But yeah, 1Mil chips seems pretty high.

I currently have over 4M chips. Most I've ever had was around 12M. I've never bought chips. Keep in mind, I'm talking about red chips, not LPs.

    Play, play, play!!!!

Like most people play each day, collect off the strip multiple times per day, add FB friends to increase your daily win on the spin.

Wait till double LP / XP days to maximise your return.
