I'm heading out in June to play in the WSOP, anyone know the structure of these CET slot tournaments? It appears it's offered at 4 hotels, and I wanted to schedule my time and not double book a WSOP event if I happen to luckbox my way into free money?

It was a free entry with some freeplay, and I got a free room, so yay me.

the tourney will only be at one hotel. you will have to call and find out wich one.

usualy you play 3 times, either twice in one day and once the next or reverse. but it could change.

you cant pick the times till you actualy regester.and you can only pick the first one the rest are asigned to you.

it will be tricky if its not all at the rio

I'll be staying at Harrah's. I'm not sure why they'd have it at the Rio for, but that was one of the hotels listed. I guess I'd rather it be at a place, like Paris or wherever.

Thanks for your input, hopefully I can schedule this around winning a WSOP bracelet.

for all there tourneys they give u a choice of usualy 4 hotels to choose from.

doesnt mean the hotel you choose will be the one with the tourney in it.

    isnt the wsop at rio.

rio has an area for slot tourneys set up .im sure others can also

Yeah, it's at the Rio, but I stayed there a few years ago during the WSOP and hated it.

My friends are staying at Harrah's / Flamingo anyway, we tend to play in some of the other series events at Venetian, Aria, etc. i was curious what the normal slot schedule was so I could fit it in for the 2 WSOP events I was playing in.

Gotcha. For those tournament offers, you would have to book the full 3 or 5 or whatever amount of days the offer calls for? I figure as long as you book one of the days that the offer calls out for, then you're good.

yes and no to the hotel answer..

used to be they waved it for locals no more.

but for the 3 day bj tourney they had a 2 nite minuim so i assume for a 4 day slot tourney theres a 3 nite miniumum that was this year as i just did the bj tourney a couple of months ago.

spoke to a tr rep and there still not clear on anything other than its at the rio and the dates. and what time is regestration.

im sure some time around june they will send out the email with more specific on this tourney.

my guess with a 4 day touney is 2and day one round , 3rd day you play twice and 4 th day you play onnce, then they add all your scores together.its very time consuming.

and your hamd hurts like hell

    hope that helps some

This is the weekend I'm going. Not sure why I didn't get the email, but that helps clear things up. This really bites into my schedule, but maybe I can register Saturday Morning.

Thanks for posting this, and thank you everyone for your replies.

I'm going this weekend. This tournament will be held at Paris. Was originally flying in Sat morning, and they have late registration on Sat morning (cut off at 10 or 11AM, IIRC). I switched the flight to Friday night to avoid missing the tournament (and enjoy an extra night in Vegas).

You pick the time for your tournament play based on availability, so if you're in town Friday, head to registration when it first opens to have the best shot at coordinating your time slots w/ your WSOP play. You'll have trouble doing both if you are planning to play in the Sat WSOP. They typically have three sessions, two on the first day (late am/early afternoon and early evening) and one on the second (late am early afternoon). They can tell you the times of the three sessions if you call.

If you finish in the money, your freeplay will be loaded on Sunday evening, you can go to the cage at any CET casino to find out whether you won. They weren't very organized the last tournament I played in, and it took about 45 minutes after the time they stated results would be available to distribute the freeplay (at the home casino - I'd imagine it took even longer at the remaining casinos). I earned $500 for my finish. They pay a good number of spots so it's worth playing. I wish it was Video Poker again, as I feel I have an advantage in speed over a good portion of the field, vs. slots which is mindless with no advantage. You have 24 hours to pick up any winnings, so it won't interfer with a Sunday WSOP tournament, but your third session may if you plan on play WSOP on Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, this is going to kill my weekend. I was planning on playing Thursday and Saturday at the WSOP. I'm sure my odds are better playing at a slot tournament anyway, ha.

    Thanks for the reply.
