Restaurants that cook in front of you...

  1. You know the kind I think I mean (lol) those restaurants where you are all sat round and the chef(s) are actually cooking things in front of you and usually giving you little samplers as you go - I appreciate they're usually Chinese/Japanese restaurants but I know you can get other types in other places.

Are there any restaurants like this?

I know Shibuya at MGM has a teppanyaki grill. And there's a Benihana at the LV Hilton. I'm sure there are more places in town if you're willing to stray off the Strip.

Golden Nugget has an Asian restaurant with an approach like Benihana.

Sorry, I can't recall the name.

That would be Lillie's. Our favorite Asian place downtown. Should have remembered that one!

DO NOT GO TO SHIBUYA! The girlfriend and I were extremely disappointed in the food as well as the service. We both really enjoyed Tetsu however which is at the Aria, the service was great, the food was fantastic, and the chefs prepare your food right in front of you. Tetsu is very expensive, about $350 for two with drinks and tip included, but it was worth it!

  7. Thanks for the suggestions folks

Probably not exactly what you were looking for, but I went to the steakhouse at Circus Circus and had a table that was overlooking the grill area below, it was kind of amazing to see all of the hunks o' beef being grilled.

Tetsu is teppanyaki. You sit at a semi circle table with the grill in front of you. You order form the menu, the chef turns around to an island between the tables holding all the ingredients, and then cooks and prepares the food in front of you. Went there once and it was very good. Planning on going there again next month during a trip
