Anyone know what the current minimums are for getting rated at the BJ tables @ MLife properties? I know years ago it was $25 per hand. Is that still the case? And if hubby and I are playing at the same table at $15 a hand with our linked card - does that count?

    What about the CET properties?

It's been a long time since we've spent any significant time at a BJ table but I'm feeling the urge again and would love to be noticed if possible.

Hoping anyone who was there recently would have some insight. Along with the rule changes maybe they changed this too! :nono:

As far as I know, the only casinos that still require $25 a hand are Aria & Mirage (which is hilarious, considering all their low limit games are 6:5 now. If you're gonna play their crappy games for $10, you should at least be able to get credit for it!).

I've been rated as low as $10 a hand at: NYNY, Monte Carlo, MGM Grand, and Bellagio.

Bellagio used to require $25 a hand, but I confirmed with a pit boss they eliminated that rule. They are now happy to rate you at $10 a hand, and I have been rated there many times there as it is my favorite place to gamble.

I've never been given any grief playing craps. At the Mirage they will also require $25 for roulette. Monte Carlo and NYNY have no issues rating you at $10/hand. Monte actually offers half decent rules for low minimum BJ. I played a $10 game that paid 3:2, surrender, DAS and RSA. It was a CSM though but for a non-counter like myself, CSM isn't really that bad.

So how do you know if you are being rated or not other than asking the PB?

As far as craps, some of the properties (Bellagio, MGM, Aria) have floormen that are not very receptive to rating $10 craps bettors. However, I have not had that issue at NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor or MB.

Mirage told me $15 for craps last time I was there IIRC.

    Odds never count for rating.

Why is Mirage so "high class" with their ratings? Does anyone know? I stayed there last year and lost most of my bankroll there to be loyal to my casino and get comps, and received virtually nothing despite often betting more than $25 on table games. I'm assuming that because it was on a $10 game they scoffed and tossed me aside. I played $5 craps at harrahs twice and CET treated me like royalty when it came time to book a return trip. Never going MLife again.

    Two questions.

Do you have to get asked to be rated?

In craps is it total bets or just line bet? I often have at least $30 before odds playing after the come out roll but never seem to get credit for my play.

Unless you're at the Cosmo. They count odds in your average bet.

I find this hard to believe, but have never played craps at Cosmo. Odds are an even money bet, which means they generate $0 theo. So the only thing I can imagine is that if they do count odds in your average bet, they use a ridiculously low HA to calculate theo or in general offer almost no comps on craps play???

Since they count the odds, they adjust the HA accordingly which ends up being about 0.37% assuming full 3-4-5 odds. They certainly do rate craps though.

I play craps at about $125-150 avg and I still have a hard time getting comps at mlife properties. They may rate you at lower levels but they are still not issuing good comps for it.

Does rated just mean earning tier credit? I got about 30k over a four day stay at MC playing $10 pass, place 8 for $30, and one $10 come generally. Not long hours. It's all bets as far as I know, they were always asking who was doing all the field bets and making notes. Wasn't me :)
