I get a nice chuckle when I walk by these bars and the hostess tries to entice us to visit.

I always tell them to come to Canada....

I could see going there in July or August but after the winter we just went through it's not happening!

I've told them to come to Minnesota in the dead of winter (when it's below 0 all day) and they can sit out on my deck and drink for free.

I was born and raised in Scandinavia, it amazes me that people willingly go to these places to drink.

We get plenty of winter here but we did it last October (it was 82 in Vegas that day). It was a fun thing to do once, I wouldn't do it again

I walked by there yesterday and thought the same thing, after the winter we've had there's no chance in hell that I'm going to a place that's frigid. It must be just the Cali people that go there.

I went to the Packer vs 49' ers playoff game this past January. We did a little tailgating before the game. I set my beer down so that I could put on my boots. A few minutes later after I had them all laced up, I picked up my beer only to find that it had frozen.

I guess it's a novelty for people who haven't experienced winter. They should start chasing the menopausal crowd.

An ice bar is not on this Canucks bucket list either.

I went to one in Sweden last summer. The people from California were freezing cold and got the 'thick' jacket - I took mine off - got too hot. Yup - I'm Canadian!

It's a novelty - put it in your 'been there, done that' category.

As a Minnesotan, I would not waste my time... I go to Vegas for the heat. We've got that cold **** 7 months a year here.

Last trip to Vegas, a Mexican lady asked me if we had to wear long sleeves all the time in Canada. I didn't laugh. I just said yes.

Other than Vegas I also enjoy cruising...people always ask if we've done an Alaska cruise yet...I tell them we have 5 months of winter here in Alberta so why would I pay to go anywhere to experience more ice and snow?! :poke:
