I sure someone will look-up technical information, but to me mid-July is ALWAYS the worst. I've been there once at 115 and another time at 117 and both were in the July 15th-20th (different years) range or thereabouts. It's just brutal then... too hot for a fat guy like me!

We also had the 117 on a trip in late August. I loved it but hubby didn't....I spent a lot of time at the pool with a good foo-foo drink...lol

Historically, July is the hottest month. I still can't believe it, but I golfed on a day it was 110! No drinks, plenty of water and of course a cart. I don't think I've ever been so drained in my life when the round was over.

    But, it's dry heat!:evillaugh

I was in Vegas last June. It hit about 115 or so. I forget but it was rough. One year I went in August. It was so hot that when I decided to walk the strip I would leave a casino and get into the next one as soon as I could. I ended up renting a car and going up to Mt. Charleston for a day to cool down. That helped because I was losing badly at poker and after my day in the mountains I came back to even.

It is reliably hot from mid May to mid Sept. I agree July seems to have the highest temps and Aug backs down a bit. I was there for one of the 117 degree days last year, and at those levels it is really hard to justify going outside at all. No problem, I just didn't leave Aria for 3 days.

We've been twice in July, 100-105 was the normal, would get down to a low of about 90.
The worst part was there were also thunderstorms which just jacked up the humidity. 105 degrees with high humidity is no fun at all. not to mention they close the pools down once the lightning starts up.

I agree with July. 115 on one of my trips. I have a photo somewhere of a time and temp clock. It was 113 at 10:30 pm. :faint:

Oh gosh, July-September it's pretty horrible. I remember a couple of instances where it was unbearable! I had to do things outside.. ugh. No.

Last year, July, we didn't even go outside it was that bad. Then the year before in September, ugh we went to an event at UNLV and it was miserable waiting inline even for a few minutes.

Pretty much the same as all over the US, July-Aug. Hottest I've ever been out there was in July 116.

It's amusing to pay attention to the local TV weather people in Las Vegas.

If it's under 100 degrees, they don't call it "hot." It's "extra warm!"

I'll just parrot what everyone else is saying and that is July seems the hottest. We did a road trip to the dam a couple of years ago leaving vegas at 108 degrees. When we reached the dam, it was 117 degrees. We were actually glad to get back to the 108 temps. Almost needed a sweater!

I was hoping everyone would say August as we have a trip booked for July. Oh well, I guess we'll start our days out there about 8 p.m. and walk the strip around midnight when it will be a cool, comfortable 95 degrees!?!? :evillaugh

I'd say LATE June to LATE July is always hot
Story: Once, we were driving back on July 3, 1998, and in Baker (California; Death Valley basically) it was 123º! I had to pull over and get out just to see what 120+ felt like..It LITERALLY felt like I was inside an OVEN!

I have been in June, July and August. I think you are likely splitting hairs as it's likely going to be hot not matter when you go. I am going this year July 7-11 which is a Monday through Friday. I fully anticipate triple digits, but fully plan to utilize the pool (staying at Flamingo). Have a good time no matter when you go!
