My card was about to expire in March at CET. Gave it to a friend who put it in a slot with a 20.00 to give me a point. She did the same thing a month later. Now I am freaking out, worrying that I will lose future comps as it will lower my ADT so much. I now get 5 nights, headliner show tickets and $500.00 cash. I know now I could have used the TR Marketplace instead. I thought because I was from Canada I didn't. (I do have a host there, but due to last trip am not very happy with him.(he told me I would be in Augustus tower and ended up in Roman, then was ''absent '' the rest of my trip.)

You get some serious comps. Or I should say, you used to get some serious comps. Your plan so save pennies cost you a ton. YOU BLEW IT.

I have to agree...you must have had a decent ADT..and from what your friend did just getting "a point" is going to REALLY kill your ADT...

What jurisdiction did your friend play your card in? If it wasn't Vegas, this won't have as big an effect on your Vegas comps as others are telling you it will. Once you establish in a jurisdiction, your MDV is calculated for that jurisdiction. Cross-property marketing offers key off your total MDV, but if you were already established in Vegas with a decent MDV, you will continue to have a decent MDV.

Aw, well the good thing about it is that if you talk to a host about your situation, they may be able to front you some comps, but you have to be sure to not make the same mistake again. The host may be able to continue to give you comps as well until those low-plays fall off. But definitely the best you can do now is talk to a person because your ADT is now lowered in the system and the computer can not explain it for you.

If you choose not to go through a host, you would have to wait something like a 1 to 2 years (not sure the exact time) for all your play history to fall off (which doesn't sound so good since you had decent play in the not-too-distant past). Then you rebuild your play again.

    Thanks everyone!

    Meyers1967-hope you are wrong!

Yay, CaptainJack -Neither one was in Vegas. One was in Laughlin and the other in San Diego! Sure hope you are right!

TIMSPEED-Don't really know if that is a lot of comps or not. I go for 10 days or so at a time. Play mostly video keno (25cent denom. Yes, I am aware of house edge but have been very lucky)Usually stay 3 nights at Wynn,3 at Palazzo and 5 at CET and 1 in a mlife casino.Have now got cold call nights at Cosmopolitan,Red Rock and TI.Considering going longer.:evillaugh

Sco5123-you bet I won't be so stupid next time.

    Answer: it depends.

It WILL register as a day, and as a low play day. How bad that hits ADT depends how often you play (how many days you had in with a higher number). Then how much the lower adt affects you will depend how high it was.

If you're working through a host, I assume they have some discretion and a better view of your history than just ADT.

I can understand the first time, since you were unaware about the TR Marketplace and didn't want to lose your points. But the points are good for up to six months with no activity. Why on earth would you have your friend do this again one month later???

I had a similar situation where I low played Harrahs.
It was not as severe as yours but it was definitely off my profile.

I was working in the area of Harrahs Chester, just outside of Philly.
Twice in a month I stopped in and played for about 30 minutes each time.

My host at Harrahs AC noticed it when I was trying to book a room there.

Fortunately ,he was OK when I explained it was a "stop in" and overlooked the issue.

If it had happened once, it shouldn't have been a problem. But since it happened twice, it will probably affect something. I don't think you will lose your comps but some of the extras won't be so sweet. However, it won't take a couple years to right things. Keep playing like you normally do and it will straighten itself out. And if you have a host, they will probably ignore it altogether.

Thanks for all the great advice!

Will talk to my host when I am ready to book my next trip.(Some time in summer)

Worse comes to worst, I will stay elsewhere and just hit them up with a strong play day.
