    :wave:Hi all,

I'm a newcomer to gambling, and am interested in increasing my long-term gains. I live in Pascagoula, MS and have been practicing VP via training software. Any coasties in here?! I have been going to Island View and Golden Nugget as they both have decent pay tables and comps. The Golden Nugget has PPV fights as well, and 9/5 machines at Michael Patrick's Cafe & Grill. The Island View offers free giveaways, and decent comps on top of 9/6 pay tables at the bar in the back. Let me know if interested in receiving info on the VP software mentioned above. As a newcomer, I have taken advantage of the free buffets, play, and point offers at the gulf coast casinos. I just received my first comp pack from Southern Gaming to help keep me in the green. Any help in increasing my long-term gains would be greatly appreciated. I will try to regularly post updates on my experiences and new offers. FYI: I did get a free buffet from the Hard Rock and the IP as a new member.

The comp pack includes comps to Casinos in LA, north MS, Vegas, Indiana, Memphis, and FL. I will get a new pack every 2 months, and will not be using most of these. I am willing to trade for comps to casinos along the MS Gulf Coast i.e. Hard Rock, Palace, Island View, etc.

    BeauxJ ....

I have two each of the following "American Casino Guide" coupons that you might be interested in :

    Mississippi - Bay St. Louis
    >> 2-for-1 buffet or 50% off one buffet at Silver Slipper

    Mississippi - Biloxi
    >> 25% off at Memphis Q at the Beau Rivage
    >> 25% off Back Bay buffet at IP Casino Resort Spa
    >> 10% off prevailing room rate at IP Casino Resort Spa

What types of LasVegas coupons/comps are in your "Gaming comp packs" ?

Why, I wonder. I've eaten there several times.

I have a story from one time when my golf group ate breakfast there. One of the guys had been up all night at a blackjack table. He was pretty wasted when he found his way to our table. His order has become one of our classic moments.

Said in not exactly a slur, but with a "dang I'm having fun" exuberance:
"I'll have two eggs over easy, with bacon, hash browns, a big glass of orange juice and.........the coldest beer you got."

And that's what he had too!

    Hi Buddha,

My apologies for forgetting to mention that Southern Gaming printed the wrong expiration date on the comps (3/15), so they would not be of any use. That was the same day I received them and was informed via email by the owner that they were reprinting them and would mail them ASAP. The comp I received for Vegas, which I assume will be the same in the corrected pack being mailed out, was a $29.99 room offer for every night of your stay including weekends at the Wild Wild West (value of $20.00 per night). I did receive a similar comp for 50% off buffet at Silver Slipper, which I prolly won't use as it's on the other side of MS. But thanks anyway for the offer, and I will update when I get the corrected pack.

    MEMPHIS Q

Not sure about Memphis Q as I have only been to the Beau once since the start of my recent gambling endeavor. I took advantage of my new member free play and checked the pay tables on the VP machines. I have not been back since I did not find any decent machines. I did, however, start playing the myVEGAS app which I'm told is transferable to the Beau. I'll update on that when I get a MGM comp. Thanks!

We were there 2/19 and they were closed then. The coast rest is open but I knew Memphis Q was closed before we left.

    Hi Buddha,

I just received my corrected comp pak. They're the same coupons previously mentioned, but are good until 5/15. If anyone else is interested, lmk.

Sorry, Beaux ... but I would not stay at the Wild West property.
I already have a full room comp at Main Street Station.

I was hoping there would be a few gaming coupons in that publication.

    Total Rewards coupon book

So, my FB friend in PA shared that he received a $450 coupon book invite after reaching platinum status for being in good standing on his Total Rewards credit card. Did anyone else get this offer? That's pretty decent! I have not played at the Grand due to the low pay tables on the VP machines. Is the comps/deals/offers worth it? Thanks!

Don't know if this relates to you or not, but I'm a mid-level type gambler: $25 BJ, $50 PaiGow and Ultimate Texas Holdem, $10 Mississippi Stud, some $1 and $5 slots mixed in. I always get all nights free for every trip and always am able to eat free at IP Biloxi and Grand Casino (CET) Biloxi. The comps are quite generous, IMO. Grand Casino has lately been giving me up to $75 in travel credit (cash for gas), and I probably get $300-$400 worth of free-play coupons each trip as well. (I usually go for 5 days, 4 times a year).

The Boyd and CET programs seem to work well. I haven't gotten room offers from Mlife in a long time, so they haven't gotten my play. I'll play at Island View and Golden Nugget, and get a few small free-play coupons or food from them as well.

I don't play VP as I find it as dull as watching paint dry, so I don't know how any of my play levels convert to what you do. Remember that VP usually pays the tiniest amounts on comps, because the edge is so small.
