Not taking distance into play here BUT how does a room at the Monte Carlo on the high floors compare with a room at the M Resort Mtn View?

    Which would you pick?

    Thanks

I dunno about M's room, but my TR contains pics of our Monte Carlo room from the 25th floor. They are at the bottom of page 2 (Day 5 of my TR) and top of page 4 (Day 6 of my TR).

M's a nice place if you like craft beer and video poker though (Day 4 of my TR).

Keep in mind that Trump doesn't have a gaming license. Also it's a little bit off the strip too. But I'm guessing you already knew that. :wink2:

Yes one reason I'm looking at that property lol :peace:

I will more than likely rent a car. Seen the strip so much and burns a hole in your pocket lol

I like to spend some time off the strip, touring around.

    Tough decisions. :)

I don't like valet only policy of trump though!

I HIGHLY recommend Trump!! I've stayed there 4 times. Great place, great service, great deal. Huge jacuzzi tubs and a kitchen. The one bedrooms have a full kitchen.

Yea, you do have to valet, but I don't think it's too bad. Just a couple bucks each time you come and go. You walk right in the door and you are in your room in 30 seconds. I think it's worth having the tip the valet. If you really wanted to avoid it you could park at the mall during the day. Also the location isn't terrible. A 2 minute drive on the back road will get you virtually anywhere on the Strip.

You can get it on Priceline Express Deals, it's in it's own area "Strip Vicinity North" I paid $67 a night a few months ago!

Haven't stayed at M, but that property alone is much nicer than Monte Carlo. Even if you have a car, it's still pretty far. It would be rather inconvenient, unless you plan on spending a bulk of your time there.

Mmmm another perk of booking trump was u get a 4pm checkout if so desired. My flight leaves in the evening. This is a big factor for me as well.

Guess I'll live with the valet :)

Don't u only tip on receiving the car? Or varies from person to person?

    Thanks

We haven't stayed at MC, but we really like the M. Nice rooms, good casino. The rooms are some of our favorites.

I just finished 12 nights at Monte Carlo on the 30th floor.

The carpets are all wrinkled. The bathroom fixtures were dated. The shower valve leaked. I had a non-smoking room on a smoking floor... I had to keep the window open to keep the disgusting cigarette smell out.

Room was kept spotless by the maid, bed was comfy, lots of pillows. Great view of the pool - I hate strip view rooms, too much noise with all the ambulances and police cars at night.

Before I left I booked five nights in a suite. They offered to comp it for me, I refused. I am there on business, company pays and they don't appreciate the free nights anyway.

All together I will stay 32 nights at Monte Carlo this year on business and may go out once or twice to raise hell. It isn't fancy, just very reasonable and convenient to I-15 if you cut through NYNY and avoid the boulevard. If you need to head up the strip, go via Frank Sinatra, saves lots of time.

Never stayed at the M. Played there, lost there. They weren't very friendly so I haven't been back.
