I don't think we'll see many posting that they were surprised by this.

It is, I've been offered drugs in just about every hotel on the strip. This time we're smart, we got the blow wiating for us as soon as we land!

Just to be clear, not inside Clark county. Any legalized prostitution is going to be within a legalized brothel in designated areas.

Although, from what I hear, many will pick you up from Vegas in a limo and take you out to their brothel; possibly free of charge, though they may have requirements for partaking in their offerings.

In all seriousness, this is a drug bust, not a hooker bust...correct? I mean, they had the "serious" drugs (aka, not marijuana), and that was teh problem. The rest is just people screwing for a little consideration.

    Or am I wrong?

No it was both. The article says they provided a private room for the hookups. It sounds like it was still on the Foundation Room premises which is a huge violation. HOB was lucky as there are other clubs who have been shut down over similar situations.

Sounds like an utter waste of time and taxpayer resources. They did not nail any of the Mr Bigs in the Vegas drug or pimping worlds. The money is no skin off the nose of Mandalay Bay. And a bunch of low level bar staff get sacked for doing what everyone else does in that town - and what they were probably expected to do by more senior staff (except the bit about getting caught).

Not really a waste of taxpayer resources since they're getting 517k in return. These things keep everyone in check.

    Hmmm....I think I may need a new host:wink2:

Serioulsy though, anybody that thinks there is no hookers and drugs in Vegas is living in la la land. Just take a look at the long running thread here about hooker stories, I think it's got 500+ stories. And who hasn't been sitting at a slot machine or VP bar and been hit on by a Vegas hooker? As far as the drugs: I've always said "I don't care how young you are, there is no way somone is up all night drinking in a night club and still awake and in the casino at 6am w/o the help of certain pharmaceuticals.:drunk::faint:

I don‘t 100% agree. I don‘t do drugs other then alcohol and can drink till morning if the mood is right. Of course the chance of me being in any way coherent is slim to none.:D:D

I love the part where MB has to reimburse $17000 for the undercover's [STRIKE]use of prostitutes and drugs[/STRIKE] investigative costs. :evillaugh

The undercover(s) went into a private room with 4 hookers, and not a single one sampled the goods. I believe it.. :nworthy:

    No surprise here

Pretty much agree with this, the employees were providing the customers with what they want which is hookers and blow. I'm willing to bet there is a network for drugs in every club in vegas so this story not a big surprise.

There's always hookers at the VP bars and I've never ever seen a bartender call security to remove the hooker. Should the bartenders get fired because they look the other way? If they did it would create a lot pf job openings.

A hooker sitting at a VP bar isn't a crime. They are people also, don't like their life choice, but still people. Soliciting sex is illegal...not being someone who solicits for sex. Prostitution is illegal, a prostitute isn't an illegal person.

Not sure what point you are trying to make here? Both the hooker and the John violate the law when prostitution occurs.
