    Very nice. I've never been to Norwich.

    We are top left corner, just under Scotland.

    Many, many moons ago I had a girlfriend who lived in 'the golden triangle'. Was a long trip from the north west for a crap shag. It did not last long.

    I'd do it Ken

    But I dont have the slightest clue how to post photos. Even when people tell me how to post a link to something I cant figure it out. Mrs. and I did learn how to order books on her new kindle today ,only took a couple of calls to Amazon to get that sucker going.

    Viva;

    Is that Superdawg at Milwaukee, Devon and Nagle? That's one of the oldest drive-in's in Chicago. In high school, all my friends and I would drive over from Norridge, just to be seen and meet there. Then there was Skip's Drive In up at North Avenue and Cumberland. (Cumberland now renamed 1st Avenue.) They were equal driving distances to all of us. This was over 55 years ago.

    Thanks Chef. Any cool pics of home from your collection (Rockford or Chicago)?

    Yes indeed, and I believe it is the oldest drive in standing within city limits (A few Dog n Suds still remain but I believe they opened in the 1950s). Superdawg serves a private label dog (not Vienna) and it's a few blocks away and my best joint still open. Love their Whoopskidog as well. The owners kids still run the joint 65 years later. Love to support locally owned small/family businesses.

    Was Skip's kitty corner from Kiddieland? I've had many Johnnie's Italian Ice and Beefs heading home from Maywood Park over the years. They still have a long line during the summer. Russell's is still going strong, and I never liked Gene n Judes (natural casing dogs).

    My two favorite hot dog joints (Wally's on Diversey & Central) and Bowser Dog (Irving Park near six corners) serving Leon's Hot Dogs and a "garden on a bun" style, unfortunately have closed over the past ten or so years (Wally's became a Walgreens, Bowser Dog condos :rolleyes2:). Loved Nickie's as well (Long and Addison) but they sold out ten years ago and the trailer burnt down a couple of years ago.

    Did you go to Ridgewood or Taft? I went to Saint Patrick HS.

    Cheers to Chicago (and Norridge) memories :beer:

    Thanks for sharing cartoonp. I really need to go to Europe eventually, but I have a bad feeling it will be "treble" the cost of a Vegas trip at the minimum! :cry:

    And viva, good job not including the cubs there. My g/f is a southsider. She hates the cubs more than I do, and I'm a cardinals fan. :evillaugh

    Works for me Wigwam.

    Haven't been to Manchester since last summer. Unless you count looking at it through the train window on the way to the airport. Done that plenty of times..
