This is my betting progression I use when I visit the craps table. it keeps me playing for quite a while on a $300.00 bankroll.

    Place 6 and 8 for $12 each,
If win drop $4 and go to $30,
If win (pays 35 + 30) take $1 change and place all numbers for $64 across.
If 4/10 wins, drop $7 and ask dealer to colour up $25 (Green Chip)
If 5/6/8/9 wins, drop $11 and ask dealer to colour up $25 (Green Chip)

If you want to get aggressive,
If 4/10 wins, ask dealer to buy for $25 and get $2.00 Change.
If 5/9 wins, drop $1.00 and ask dealer to press bet to $25.
If 6/8 wins, drop $4.00 and ask dealer to press to $30.

Here is a WinCraps Classic file you can also use to test and run Many simulations.

    Enjoy!

Not to be negative but stating facts. The casinos will welcome any strategy that people THINK can work over the LONG HAUL because THEY have the advantage. The KEY WORD said are IF WIN. Over the short term anything can happen, but esp on a choppy table you will lose.

How do you "play for hours", on a system where you never take any money down?

After three hits, you still have your entire bank, PLUS all profits on the table! Sounds like a better way to go broke, than stay at the table all night.

Here's a simpler "system" that will keep you alive even longer:
$5 line, 2x odds after the point.
Place the 6/8 for $12 each (sub the 5 and/or 9 for $10 if the point is 6 or 8).
'Same Bet' on the first 2 hits (3 hits if you have 3 place bets out there).
Press evenly on the next hit.
Then, alternate 'same bet' with even-presses until the point is hit or the 7 shows up.

Start from scratch on any 7-out.
    Simple.

Agreed, my cousin taught me this and I used it for my first craps game ever. Came out up $200, bought in for $100 at Casino Royale.

If all you want to do is extend your play time, pass line min bet with no odds. Enjoy your free drinks and tossing dice occasionally. :)

On paper it looks like I don't pull anything back but in reality you start making profit immediately after the first hit from the 64 across.

at that point you have only $14 invested + 20 on the hard ways. It does lead you to believe your chips are always in play and no profits returned, but thats the way this system starts and when you have a run of numbers, your chip stack will pile up very fast.

i've tested this system quite a few times at the live casino and I'm having positive results. I've also incorporated the C&E as a side bet with full parley for 3 wins and down strategy and also works well.

here is a more detailed breakdown:
    0 hits: = -$24
    1 hit: = -$28
2 hits: = +$51 (-20 for hardways if you play them)
    3 hits: = +$65 or +69
    4 hits: = (+79 or +83) or (+83 or +87)

Simply playing passline w/odds will not hold water and you will lose your bank roll. I've tested this and also have tested darkside betting with similar results.

In starting your "Road to profits, you need to have money on the table, Having 85% casino wins at the start is very good and produces very good results over the time stayed.

I've tested this system in live casino's and notice many other players heading to the bank machine shortly after losing their bank roll. My system holds water and draws attention when the green chips start rolling in just after your 3rd win.

Do you want me to post the results on the betting you want me to change to?
the results are undesirable after running simulations. Don't waste your time betting the way you've posted. the PSO will kill your bank roll because you have too much of your own money on the table and will be hitting the ATM frequently. With your average bet being $60.00 per shooter you have to win quite a few times to make your money back.

What does the "drop $4" mean?

Does that mean drop $4 more out there? $12 on 6, hits wins $14, now you have $26 so drop $4 to get to $30?

    Is that right?

You are correct. after a win, drop $4 to the dealer and he will make the 6 or 8 look like $30 ($12 + 14 wins + drop 4)

Let's assume the point is 5.
    My TOTAL bet will be $39 (not $60). $12 6 & 8 + $5 line + $10 odds.
If the shooter throws just two 6s and/or 8s, I'm in for only $11. If he hits four 6s and/or 8s, I'm up $21, and my $18 6, $18 8 and $15 5 are all still out there. If he 7s-out, I'm still up $21. If he rolls a 5, I'm up $40 for the roll, with my $36 already out there ("free") for the next roll.

And, obviously, if he hits six or more 6/8 combinations, I'm up even more, with no money of my own at risk.
(With 10/36 combinations of 6/8 and 'only' 6 combinations of 7, I have a 5 to 3 edge on every roll. And remember - the dice have no "memory".)

Let's look at common occurrences at craps:
    Point-7 out: I lose $39.
    Point, one 6 or 8, 7-out: I lose $25
    Point, two 6s or 8s, 7-out: I lose $11.
    Point, four 6s or 8s, 7-out: I win $10.
    Point-anything/nothing-Point. I win at least $19.

If the shooter makes his 5 (or 9) about as often as he 7-outs, I come out ahead. If he can throw two 6s or 8s, I lose very little if he 7-outs.

It's certainly not a "perfect" strategy, but it seems to do "ok". And, I've risked the same (or less) of my own money than the strategy you're suggesting ($12 6 and $12 8), with profit (albeit, smaller) coming to me sooner in the process.

Sorry my mistake on the $60, I was thinking $10.00 table ($10/pass w/$20 odds, then $12/6, $12/8 total $54 but I also included $5 firebet and 1.00 any crap on comeout roll to protect the passline bet.

Even $39 of your own bankroll is quite high to start off each new shooter.
If you run the sim in WinCraps Classic, you need to 2 times for each PSO (Point Seven out) It's great betting on your part but not for the simulations of 100,1000,10000 & 100000 roll simulations (all resulting in negative bankroll)

    Here is room for improvement.
If you play the passline w/odds
    1) bet $5 on pass and also $5 on don't pass.
    2) then bet $25 odds in behind the passline and collect the true odds on the $5 instead of just even money.

Also keep in mind that if you nickel dime at the craps table, they will get the best of you.

    Point-7 seems to happen far less than Point - 6 and/or 8 - 7.
Remember - if he throws even one 6 or 8 before a 7-out, I'm only in for $25.
If he hits his 5 or 9 about as often as he 7-outs, but he's giving me at least one 6 or 8 every on every pass, that's a $25 loss versus a $34 win.
    (Think: point-6-7 versus point-6-5)

Yes - the point-7 will kill me, just the same as it will kill you using your strategy.

True, that 7 is a killer. I personally have tried many betting structures and like your method, I like mine because I risk $24 per shooter + $4 and then I rely on a repeat before my action begins.

But CG...this isn't always necessarily true. If the 6 hits, then you drop the $4 and make it look like $30. Then if the 8 hits, you drop another $4 and make that look like $30 as well. So your max loss would be $32. And that's with HITTING 2 numbers, which would really suck in my book.

I guess I'm a little more conservative than you...I would follow your strategy but only after pocketing my first win on 6 and 8 each.

So I would pocket the first $14 from the 6 and the first $14 from the 8. This way, my loss limit would only be $24. Either way, we are both looking for a long-term shooter. I would think pocketing the first 6 and 8 hit would help keep you at the table even longer.

I ran that test, and does not hold water playing same bet for first win.
Actually to be more conservative it was better to BET/REGRESS your first wager.

Example: betting $12/6, $12/8 then regress after 1 hit to $6/6, $6/8 and build from there. but even that way was not enough wins to compensate future losses/profit goals.

An even better approach in my testing was when:
    1) I started 6/8 with $18 each
    2) Drop $3 and tell dealer to press to $42

After every win Drop $1.00 and collect $50

or a more aggressive approach was to press your 18 to 42 to 90 and collect $100 chips after every other win (But this approach does not hold water as compared to the 18 to 42 and collect 50 approach.

If you like collecting green chips, this is a good bet.

you are correct as I neglected to mention the other $4.
