Do you guys have any experience with skipping buffet lines and and going through platinum/diamond lines with gold friends? I have platinum but the people I am going with have gold, if I were to use the platinum/diamond entrance at say Paris' buffet, would they be opposed to taking half a dozen golds and one platinum through to the VIP seating area? I know its no problem taking a couple people through, but I'm wondering at what point do they draw the line?

I went to bacchanal buffet a while ago with like 6 friends. Everyone paid separately, though a couple of them got charged the fee to skip the line until they complained and got a refund (only 1 of us was diamond). It didn't seem like a big deal everyone paid separately

What amazes me at one local casino here (Horseshoe ) is that the Diamond line is sometimes longer than the general admission line and people will still join the longer one. I've actually seen a long Diamond line and NOBODY on the regular one, and usually the cashier will motion the next from the Diamond to come over to the cashier for the regular line.

Yeah DMR, I have seen the same thing at Harrah's New Orleans. Diamond folks sit in a central room that in somewhat secluded from all the non-diamond people. It is nice and quiet in there so maybe that is why they are willing to wait in the longer line. I guess that they don't know that once the clerk sees your diamond card regardless of what line you are in; they give you to a hostess who takes you to the Diamond room anyway.

I think more Diamonds/Seven Stars is the norm in areas with little or no casino competition. I live in NC and if you don't go to Harrahs Cherokee the nearest casino is 450 miles away. There are tons of Diamond/Seven Stars in line at Cherokee. I'm a Diamond and it's no big deal at Harrahs Cherokee. I love it when I go to Vegas. I feel like I'm treated like a king when I pull out my Diamond Card there. The only thing I can think of to explain this is the amount of competition for the gambling dollar in Vegas.
