So here I sit, 36 days and change from leaving for the land we all love. Having spent entirely too much time on this site the last several weeks catching up on the degenerate debauchery that makes this site feel like home. I thought, (as Russell Wilson would say).... why not me? So after reading the news of Beejay's retirement :nworthy: that't it, I'm going to do it, I'm going to [STRIKE]fail[/STRIKE], write a GD trip report.

So in true Beejay fashion, I will start this report more than a month in advance, in someway hoping it will make these long winter days pass by just a little faster.

So where the hell do you even start? OK here goes nothing. So this will be trip number 12 I think, but in reality only the last 7 have mattered, as this is when I found my home for MM. There really is no better place on the planet for those 4 glorious days, sure the limits are all jacked up, the lines of people are outrageous, and there are at least 10 guys for every girl.... but who doesn't like a challenge right?!

So like I was saying we started this annual pilgrimage 7 years ago as a bachelor party, forever dubbed, "drink til you bleed" as in drink 28,347 vodka tonics and in the dry dessert air, your nose starts gushing like you took an 8 ball off a hookers ass! Anyway that's an entirely different TR that maybe someday I will attempt to do justice. Back to this year, our normal crew usually consists of 4-5 regulars with a couple floaters every year. For this years line up we have 7 guys across 3 rooms between PH and PT. The lineup below

Castor Troy - your basic drunk (think borat) hasn't been back since year one (he was the bachelor) currently going through a divorce and resurrecting his love for vodka tonics and hookers

Kweef - [STRIKE]lucky ass bastard[/STRIKE] stay at home dad, complete degen gambler, part of the core group to make every trip

JP - Makes Castor Troy look like a church boy, drinks like a fish all day every day. low roller but loves to make prop bets, as in 5 bucks I flip this quarter into that strippers g string... JP brings the party

.Net your average supernerd programming type who turns into an avg joe drunk degen 5 days a year as part of the core. Only person i know that can drink 20 Guinness in a day, wtf?

Me - obviously the biggest degen gambler of the group, one of the other core group members. Used to travel for work 100% of the time but with a new baby at home haven't left in nearly a year. Sorry hunny I love you but I need my vegas!

Couple other randoms coming along, we will see if they can hang and make it in to the story as it goes.

So that covers the who, now on to the when and where:

March 19th (cannot come fast enough): I will fly down and meet up with Kweef in the ATL airport. Should arrive in vegas around 4:30 in afternoon (and completely hammered, thank you Delta free drink coupons!) The other [STRIKE]losers[/STRIKE] responsible adults don't arrive until Thursday morning. So the idea for now is to do a walkabout Wednesday night, [STRIKE]stare at the hookers on the strip[/STRIKE] have a beer and put 20$ in a China Shores machine at every possible casino. I read about this machine last year on this board and have been playing it ever since. Between the two of us, I'd say we are at least 5k up on this machine alone across all the properties, God bless those little fing ying yang symbols!:drunk:

More to come, as the flusher would say, gotta fix the grommet machine back in flusherville for The Man!

Home base is PH, but we are always up and down that side of the street CET. Last years opening night included a stop there at Bally's, where at 4:30 in the morning some [STRIKE]DBAG [/STRIKE] awesome person decides its a good idea to split QQ.... Needless to say it didn't end well and that was my last hand at the table. After a few choice words a nice gentleman in a coat thought that now would be a good time for us to see some other properties on the strip. As I continued to swear at the top of my lungs "you f'ing moron, it's people like you that allow them to build these damn casinos!" while my compadres wisp me away :drunk:

We are generally the happy go lucky type of drunks, just have little tolerance for idiots!:evillaugh

Bearcat - Me and another dozen guys are coming in on the 19th staying until Sunday. Been out 15 or so times but never for MM. Staying at Harrah's and your group sounds like a good bunch. Maybe we will cross paths sometime. We'll be doing the Wednesday afternoon/night strip-crawl as well looking for good spots to post up for the games early Thursday. Let the debauchery begin......

I'll be at Ballys March 20-24 along with two of my brothers (possibly a few other friends) for our annual MM trip. Sportsbook during the afternoons, and we can be found at the tables at night (3CP, C4P, UTH). We will be the ones with a bud light in one hand and a vodka soda in the other... :drunk:

Alas I don't think Gaggles and I are willing to give up our spots in the starting line up just yet and I know that Borat or Alexabo ain't either. I think the whole 30 days in advance only works when you have the guys who are also going hounding each other daily on the thread. Not to mention that with 20 posts, of which 10% of are on here, I'd say you're trying to fill some big shoes. Now maybe I am sounding like the grizzled old veteran here (which is not my intention), but these reports are not easy. BeeeJay took pictures of everything and then had the talet, while homeless drunk I might add to upload them all to his computer and spend a couple hours after we all went to bed to write a small novel every night. Oh and because you have been on the board less than a year, what you may not now is that BeeeJay has "retired" before, just has he has vowed to only play quarter VP, not play roulette and stop sleeping with Gaggles girlfriend. So if you've read any of his trip reports you know what a crock of shit that is. Think of BeeeJay as the Brett Favre of VMB. He can keep retiring but he will be back.

Have a great trip, but 36 in advance days is a bit much, just saying

I Love the excitement! I have lurked for weeks on end and am leaving in exactly two weeks. This board has allowed me to daydream endlessly about what we are going to do on this trip. Last Visit was 2010 and a lot has changed!

First weekend of the tourney is insane time to be there, let alone 7-8 years running. Good luck, looking forward to the rest of this report.

    More the merrier

Don't discourage him the more debauchery the better. I mean it takes years to get where you guys are, better he starts now. I mean Ivan probably wasn't Ivan the Terrible first time out. And Attila might have been a Hun but was he "Attila THE HUN" right away?

The standard has been set by BeeJay and now we have a young upstart.. let the games begin.

I think the young upstart needs to prove himself before a 36 day advance report, but that's just my humble and meaningless opinion. I think the only 2 who can pull that off are BeeeJay and natedogg. The rest is just reality. The amount of work to pull off a BeeeJay live trip report is insane, you factor in the alcohol and it's nothing short of a miracle. That being said I look forward to bearcat proving me wrong
