Hello all!! This is my first post here on Vegas Message Boards, I'm getting married September 26, 2014 and I've been looking at different casinos to stay in and I've come to the conclusion we will likely stay in Planet Hollywood, and now I'm starting to second guess myself.

So here is where I need all the experts help. I'm looking for a casino that has a young vibe, is reasonably priced, but one that has the best nightlife. Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated. Oh and how do you feel about Planet Hollywood?? THANKSSSSS

Depends on your definition of reasonably priced. For that, PHo might be your best bet. Cosmo and Bellagio have a younger vibe (Cosmo everywhere, and Bellagio does at least at Hyde and Bank) but are a lot more expensive. You may want to check out MGM Grand. More expensive than PHo, but not as much as the other two. I know Light at Mandalay Bay is one of the newst clubs around, but when I was there last weekend, there was no energy and no younger vibe to the place. The people waiting in line for Light seemed bored. I don't know what the scene is like at Wynn. I think its probably on par with Bellagio in terms of youthful energy, but it is also more expensive than PHo. Hope that helps

I think you will be pleased w/ Planet Hollywood. The property caters to a younger crowd, and the casino is usually always hopping. The pools are small, but are loud.

I think you've chosen a perfect spot at PH!!! Cosmo would be my first choice, but I don't think anyone would term it "reasonably priced". PH fits the bill and you can cruise over to Cosmo for a bit if you like...

I think the Cosmo has the best night life for the younger crowd. Wynn has many nightclubs too that attracts younger people.

What is the nightlife you are asking about? Clubs? The casino "feel" itself?

Hello again, I feel so much better thanks for the reassurance. However does their pool suck in September? I've come across a couple boards saying it's nothing amazing. As far as nightlife just fun high energy feel! And the club that's in it Koi is that it??? And how is Koi if anyone has been?? You guys are super rockstars for helping me!

I strolled over to Mandalay a few times on my last trip. Went to the Foundation Room one night. The entire vibe of the Casino at night was pretty dead in my opinion. The night we went to FR it was def crazy in there buy a way diff kind of crowd that I am used to seeing. We likely wont go back.

Back to OP, PH has a great Casino vibe, but the clubs there kinda all the way suck. Good news though, you can walk right across the street and live it up at Cosmo. (their Casino is usually dead though)

Cosmo or Wynn/Encore is your best bet for what your asking for but also the most expensive options there is on the strip. I would just look to get a place nearby if you are on a budget so its a short walk away. Planet Hollywood is a great location for that and you can just cross the bridge and you are right at Cosmo were all the action is.

The pool suuuuuuuuuucks! One of my least favorite on the Strip. But folks who know more about CET can tell you better than me, I think if you stay at PHo, you get into the pools at Caesars, which are quite good

You know, I have never been up to FR. My room was right below it this past trip. I could see signage for it a few feet above my head, lol.

I was really surprised by the lack of energy for Light, especially on such a big weekend

Sorry. CET is shorthand for Caesars Entertainment. It owns Planet Hollywood (PHo for short). They also own Paris, Ballys, Caesars Palace, Harrahs, Flamingo, Quad, and the Rio. I don't stay at them often enough to be certain, but I think if you stay at one of their properties, you may have access to the pools at their other properties. And that's good because the pool at PHo stinks.

Thanks for clearing up my newness!!! I appreciate it! That's awesome I'm gonna contact them to make sure. I need a good party day at the pool. Is that too much for the bride to ask? Haha

I don't think you get pool exchange privileges (but it doesn't hurt to call).

For my 2 cent: Don't worry about staying in a hotel with great nightclubs. You can go to whatever nightclub you want, regardless of what hotel its located in. If pool is important to you, then pick a hotel with a decent pool (as I am fairly certain you can't go to another hotel's pool).

I really think you would like Planet Hollywood. The vibe is fun and upbeat (which you mentioned was important). There is a decent mall attached to the hotel (Miracle Mile Shops), and the location is good on the strip.

The pool isn't great, but it's fine for what you will need it for.

If you are really looking for a different hotel, I would suggest the Mirage: great pool, good location, decent rates, decent nightlife, right across the street from the Wynn/Encone Venetian/Palazzo and all their clubs, and the rooms are recently remodeled.

The Pho pool is going to be undergoing an "upgrade" in the near future, according to my host there. It's in desperate need of one. Also, the nightclub there, Gallery, has closed and not sure about another club opening, so at the moment there is no club. But, at the Heart Bar (in the middle of the casino), there is always great music being spun by their resident DJ (DJ NINO). Pho is a great place, happening vibe, good scenery, and an important aspect for me is that the dealers there are always friendly and fun. I'm there once a month, and happy with the property overall. And, like some have mentioned, you're right next door to Cosmo (which is a great place...STK is one of my fav steakhouses in all of Vegas).

    Congrats on the nuptials!

You should also consider MGM Grand
