    My Trip Report

BeeeJay and Nate seem to be the only ones that able to pull off truly live trip reports. This may be live, it may not. Either way, I'm looking forward to 3 days of fun with hopefully an average BAC in the low .20's.

This is I think my 3rd trip report. Wife and I. Both in our early 30's. I have family and business in Vegas. This'd be my 4th trip in last 4 weeks but first not on business. Going to Vegas for business is like going to a strip club to get off :nono: so It'll be fun to get away.

The plan is leave from SoCal tomorrow at noon. Have a room with an Octavious Tower. Planning to keep it low key for us and hit our usuals, like: Todd English tomorrow, Milo's for lunch on Saturday and Lotus on Monday. I'm Diamond with CET so we get show tickets so might hit up the comedy club Saturday followed by the Big Game party hosted by Ceasars on Sunday. Gaming is probably going to be VP at Caesars and table games elsewhere. The worst luck with table games at Caesars, I have a better shot of holding onto my money by handing my credit card to the Champagne Room at Rhino.

Anyways, it's off to yell at my wife to pack (with good cause), but before I go, a friend has offered to introduce this live trip report! :)

Good luck with the live trip report. My last trip I blew most of my bankroll and $500 in free play in a 10 hour binge after landing and was so disgusted with the gambling and CET and Vegas that I didn't bother to update or finish up the trip report. Sometimes those live reports can go south quickly. But again, good luck, I hope you have a good time and win big.

Ya. I've tried a few times. I have some good videos and pics of Handpay or near. But trying to post them with Tapatalk with my iphone is frustrating me so I'm just taking it in for right now. So, late Monday I'll do a post-script about my Beer Hall Puscht, Handpay on quick hits 7's and hearing somebody say they're sweating like a cucumber in a women's prison.

Off to the Caesars Super Bowl parties. Or the the prick attorneys want it, the Big Game party. Tried to make a bet for a friend right now. 500 people at the book

I don't know how anyone does a live report! I tried it, but its best for me to do things after the fact.
Usually Im too drunk and I shouldn't be writing anything, who knows what would come out of my mouth!
Maybe this time Ill try it since I wont be doing as much drinking....

So...I'm guessing the live thing didn't work out so well. Still anxiously awaiting it tho!

TIRED...way too tired for a longer descriptive report. In the meantime, here's some slot porn. All 3 are over $500

OK I'll say it. Why the hell do people play 8/5 JOB at the $5 level? I just do not understand it.

I can understand $0.25 play, when it might be just about the best game available at some places but 9/6 JOB is readily available at $5.

At 500 hands per hour you are giving up $280 per hour in expected return. Oh well. :rolleyes2:

Trust me, I looked. This was on the same bank I was on last year that was all 9/6. All changed to 8/5 As you can see, that happened on about the 16th hand. I only played about 3 more because I felt dirty playing it. Thats why this will be more of a slot report later on,

This. Several CET casinos offer $5 9/6 JOB (CP, Bally's, PHo, Paris and Rio), though points are earned at 1 per $25, vs. the standard 1 per $10. Many MILFe and other Strip casinos (Cosmo, Wynn, TI) also offer the game.

CET's best $1 level game in Vegas is 3-5 line 9/5 JOB at PHo, which I played for a bit and had winnings in additional to my RSF (also earned Platinum in a day).

Also, not sure why all casinos don't adjust the SF payout to 239 on a $5 game (Bally's and Rio has adjusted their payouts).

    Congratulations on your wins Saeldway!

My guess is to avoid a tax form on every straight flush (239*5 = 1195).

That was my point - not sure why only a few casinos in Vegas alter down to 239. I would think most guests would prefer that payout vs. 250.

That's what I'm talking about! Quickhits is a beast - either really good or really bad. Heading up to OK in a week, I'm going to feed them and see if they will be my friend. In the meantime - MORE MORE!

As far as I can tell, THERE ARE ONLY THREE $5 9/6 JOB MACHINES LEFT AT CAESARS PALACE, which is practically insane. Of course it takes $25 coin in to earn 1 tier credit, and almost nobody is playing VP there anymore. Even more appallingly, the $100 VP machines offer 8/5 JOB. Truly hard to understand how they think people will play that. Those 10-12 machines under the "mini canopy" adjacent to the Palace casino which used to be all full pay not too long ago are all 8/5 except 2.

It has been a vicious cycle--early last year too many people earned too many tier credits too easily in the view of CET--so they went to $25 coin in per TC--then people stopped playing and the machines profitability went down--better tighten the machines---even more people stopped playing--what now?

    So, where to start?

Oh yeah, yelling at the wife. Every relationship has a “dance” the one thing that one spouse does to annoy the other, sometimes egging the other on. I’m sure I have my things. My wife’s is not packing. Great woman, great mother, horrible at showing up on time and being ready to leave on time. With Vegas, it’s happened dozens of times before where we plan to leave SoCal on a Friday at 2pm only to have her not pack and have us out the door at 3:30. As any other S0-Cal visitor can attest, that can make the difference between checking in at 6:30 or 9:30 essentially wiping out a good chunk of the night.

It was not to be this trip. This trip I had good wife. She packed the night before and we were out at 1:45 Friday. The first, and probably biggest win of the weekend! It took about 4.5 hours which is great and pulled up to the Caesars valet at 6:20. Proceeded to Diamond check-in and was given a room in the Octavious Tower on the 5th err 55th floor. We also got (did not ask for) an accessible room. For fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm, I kind felt like this:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/LgedBRXw7fY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

With the room, a couple of beers down, and a change of clothes, the wife and I were debating what to for the night. This weekend was all about low-key fun with Super Bowl on Sunday. With all the trips and all the time we’ve spent we decided to give HassleHoffbrau Haus a try. Talk about bastardizing anything Bavarian, this place had everything. I’ve been to the real thing in Munchen and this thing is like the 6/5 version of Bavarian, insulting. I felt almost as bad as I do paying $10 for a Corona at Andrea Wynn’s place. The pretzel was dry, the schnitzel was re-ground oscar meyer and the beer was blech. Well, at least we’ll never be curious about it again. Cabbed it back to Caesars for a little bit of gaming. Remember what I said in my first post about table gaming at Caesars? Ya, it held up. I went between craps and LIR for a couple of hours, nothing doing and down $400 for the night. We headed back to the room at about 2am. Tomorrow was my one real shot at gambling, so I had to get some beauty sleep.
