Want to block out the five days during the high demand ED Concert weekend, and my two best totally comped options are:

Bally's - Indigo (North) Tower Luxury or Jubelee Premium

    vs.

Flamingo - Go Luxury w/ View.

    My two questions are:

    1. For people who have stayed in the remodled Bally's Jubelee rooms, would you recommend? Also, recommendations on Flamingo Go Luxury rooms are appreciated as well.

    2. Does the Flamingo VIP check-in include Platinum?

I'm leaning toward Flamingo due to the fact Bazaar construction is scheduled through the summer, but want to avoid the crazy Flamingo check in. Would go with the Bally's rooms if construction wasn't a factor.

    Any comments appreciated.

    Thanks

I can't offer an opinion, but wanted to jump in and say I am debating the two options as well. My free play offers dried up with Planet Hollywood, and all CET properties as well, but they are still comping me 5 nights in a wide range of rooms.

I am leaning towards Go Luxury with view due to the construction and ease of access to the strip that you get with the Flamingo. I guess you could do side entrance of Ballys or walk through Paris to hit the strip. I don't hit the pools, but if that is a factor for you Flamingo is the win for that. Also I am leaning towards Flamingo for easy access to the Quad casino which I have heard good things about recently.

I am planning on My Vegas comps for food at the Mirage and possibly Monte Carlo or Aria or Bellagio depending on how many points I can rack up between now and April. With Comps being downgraded for me I am planning on opening up my gambling elsewhere.

If you are comped Go Luxury with view have you considered Paris? They have the red rooms comped for me and it is a possibility, but I like the idea of a guaranteed view room at Flamingo.

I've stayed in both and preferred Bally's Jubilee. The bed was more comfortable, the room had more space and a better layout, and was also less ridiculous (i.e., the sea of pink in Go rooms).

Also, Flamingo did have a Platinum line, as I myself was platinum. Went awfully slow, though, due to the traditional CET shortcoming of insufficient people to handle check-in. Bally's was much quicker, and the person I worked with was more competent. Both of these stays were within the last nine months.

check out both rooms on youtube to get a better feel. Make sure to search the room type and a current year (2013) to get the most updated and accurate footage.

For me it's Flamingo (hands down)!

Don't underestimate the awesome floor-to-ceiling full wall windows of the GO rooms... best view of the strip IMO. Have stayed in these many times, haven't stayed in the Jubilee rooms yet, frankly not real excited about the tiny tv they have. Of course, many don't watch tv in Vegas, but I watch at least an hour in the morning and again at night so the tv matters to me.

Platinum does have their own line at Flamingo, I used it during the last trip when the diamond checkin was closed when I arrived. I was the only one in that line, so like any hotel you choose, timing is everything. I've waited a long time for checkin at Bally's diamond checkin, and I've had it be empty. There's no predicting it....

Watch some videos of them and enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the responses. I picked Bally's for now, choosing room size and new upgrades (never stayed in the South / Jubilee Tower) over possible construction concerns. Flamingo may have construction noise issues w/ Bill's construction. Hopefully I'll get a room facing the south end / away from the Grand Baazar construction.

EDC is a very busy weekend, so I wasn't able to find comp stays over that weekend for Caesars Augustus or PHo Mountain View rooms I typically book within the CET family. I hit Platinum in a day (1,600 short of DIAD) in a few hour session at PHo last week, which included a $1 RSF. Didn't expect to play that long on the machine (5 play $1 9/5 JOB) but I was running well before and after the RSF.

I checked with Flamingo and they still offer the poker room bi-weekly free-rolls, which hopefully remain in place through June, so I'll still spend some time there.

With all the construction around the front of Bally's I would go with Flamingo. With Linq construction complete the area should be pretty pretty nice. I don't know your age but if you are under 50 I would say Flamingo over 50 Bally's...

I am still debating. My current reservation is the Bally's Jubilee premium room.

I am usually decisive with my decisions, but the construction adds complexity.

    My options are:

    1. Caesars Forum Sun-Fri and then find something Fri-Tues (likely a Boyd Downtown or Orleans as it will hard to get comped on the strip).

    2. Find comp options Sun through Thursday (Strip, Downtown, Off Strip) and then check into one of the following through the end of my trip (which includes the EDC which is why I can't get CET comps during the weekend):

    A. Bally's Jubilee (and hope to get a room facing Paris)
    B. Flamingo Go (and hope to get a room away from Gigglesnort Hotel / facing Bally's.
    C. Harrah's Premium Room (though there is Casino Royale Denny's and possible Linq construction issues).

I do not want to stay at Rio, nor pay for the weekend (the other three nights are comped) at Caesars or PHo.

I may switch Bally's to Flamingo as there is a better chance of staying construction noise free. I like to return to the room and sleep from 4/7AM until noon, and Vegas trips is like living in an endless daze when you are working on no sleep over several days. I'd like to try the new Bally's rooms, but I have never stayed in the Go room. I have never had issues checking in at Bally's, but Flamingo could be a cluster (they let me check in at VIP last time when the line was very long).

    B. Flamingo Go (and hope to get a room away from Gigglesnort Hotel / facing Bally's.

With the GO/View rooms facing the Strip, you'll have that annoying mesh screen to contend with, plus the thumping bass from Pure across the street at Caesar's. That may be the lesser of two evils, noise-wise, but I thought I'd point that out in case you weren't aware.

Are you locked in to a GO/View room, or would you consider a GO Deluxe room, which would face the pool & Wildlife Habitat? No view, but quieter. Just a suggestion.

No I can book any room through Go Deluxe with view. If linq construction is complete, I wouldn't have noise facing the pool. Didn't realize Pure caused noise. I have always stayed in the Octavious Tower and never had noise issues. Are Forum Tower rooms subject to noise from Pure?

I'll check back this weekend and likely switch to Flamingo, as the Bally's construction is likely to go through June and beyond - I'd guess the linq construction will likely be interior only by the time June rolls along.

Thanks again everyone for the input.
