Me and some friends coming over from the UK during the FIFA World Cup in June. Was just wondering what variety of markets we are likely to find on the soccer? Eg over here you can bet on pretty much anything. First scorer, to score at any time, number of goals, final score, red cards, even the number of corners!

Any chance of first scorer bets over there in the sportsbooks or is it just likely to be match result and thats it?
I figured as William Hill is a UK brand worst case scenario might be better off hitting one of those as they might be more accommodating.

    Any help gratefully received.

I think the chances are pretty good for some of it. The world cup is a pretty big event here even for people that don't follow soccer. In game wagering is one thing i would say there is zero chance you'll find unless william hill is doing it. Most of the totals you will probably be able to find anywhere.

William hill is located near the strip. Hooters casino has one if your staying near Tropicana. Ellis Island has one if your staying near Flamingo and the Rivera has one if your staying further down near Venetian. Also there are a bunch downtown. So pretty much wherever your staying one is pretty close if they have the best betting options.

When you get here vegasinsider.com has current lines of all books listed. They also have a phone app you can download. Good luck.

Thanks very much, I'll check that out.
Staying MGM so guess the hooters one would be best.

Venetian does soccer betting for sure - a lot of the casinos don't do it at all - we found out last trip when there were some games we wanted to bet on.

I think your talking about places not offering Premier league games. World cup will be up pretty much everywhere.

I know that the MGM books take EPL and Champions League action so I'd assume it'd be no different with the World Cup.

I don’t think there will be any problem betting on WC matches (as mentioned, pretty much everyone takes action on EPL and CL matches). But I doubt you’ll be able to find too many of the more “exotic” bets. I’m sure there will be a few, but certainly not as many as you’re probably used to in England.

I was in Vegas in December and was able to place for some World Cup bets right after the schedule came out. I put some money on the Argies at 6-1 and Netherlands as my long shot at 18-1.

They were also taking Champions League, EPL, and even MLS action at Treasure Island stuff as well. Good luck!

Riviera will definitely have good action on soccer games. We were able to bet on a bunch of World Cup qualifiers there, including more "obscure" countries.

The former Las Vegas Hilton, currently known as the LVH, generally offers the most prop bets and in game bets across all sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.), and it will likely offer the most for the World Cup.

The second best opportunity to bet props and for in game wagers will likely come from Cantor sportsbooks found at the Venetian or Tropicana on the Strip and several other off Strip locations.
