I'd like to hear some of the "lessor known" fun free or inexpensive things to see on the strip for a first time Vegas goer. I'll start with the things I've heard a lot about just to get them out of the way......

    1) Bellagio Fountins
    2) Mirage Volcano
    3) Sirens of TI
    4) Eiffel Tower at Paris
    5) Gondola Rides at the Venetian

Could someone add some of the "lessor knowns" of fun stuff to do and/or see? Thanks!!

How about the Car Collection at the Quad? There are neat, vintage & collectible cars to see and you can usually google the name for free passes. You can just stroll around in AC comfort (if it is a hot day - it's nice) and even take pics if you want.

RE #3 No more Sirens at TI

There's a free Moving statues show at Caesars Palace. located in the area between the two casinos.

    Stratosphere Tower
Take the bus to Fremont St downtown in the evening to see the Fremont St Experience. 4 blocks of lights to music.
Wear comfy shoes and take in the architecture
Free Wild life sanctuary At Flamingo (follow signs to restaurants)

The Sirens of TI are not there anymore.

-In the Monte Carlo there is a parade of the Blue Man Group, every evening before the show begins.

-The Caesars Palace Mall has some shows ( one Animatronic Show with Gods)

-On the more adult side, some of the casinos have gogo-dancers and lightly clothed dealers on the weekend (Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood and Flamingo for example if I remember correctly)

-Collecting porn-cards from the nice Mexican fellows

-Spot-the-hooker late night in the casino, near elevators and in the casino-bars

Not on the Strip, but highly recommended: Fremon Street Experience in Downtown. Street performers, live concerts and a nice vibe overall.

Without any exaggeration the Strip is the funnest place in the world for me. I live on the central coast so it is a short flight or a 9 hour drive. I often drive with my wife. I feel like a kid headed to Disney land.

Vegas is like the center of the world. My family has gone there ever since I was a child. Even then I fell in love with the concept of a 24 hour city.

This may sound weird but when I was young, and even trips today, I love knowing that even if I am laying in the room, there is so much doing on below me in the casino and on the strip.

Fo me, hell would be driving South on I15.

I'm on Mlife and I don't care about Suites or fancy dinners, I just want a room with a Vegas view. I love falling asleep to those lights.

Having a meal at a Strip sidewalk restaurant like Mon Ami Gabi or Cabo Wabo.

The Fountains at Bellagio is absolutely the best Las Vegas has to offer. I usually stop to watch a show as I'm approaching the hotel, then get a spot right at the middle for the next one. It is remarkable.

Agreed on Mon Ami Gabi and the fountains.

I love doing breakfast at MAG because its usually nice and crisp outside and they have the heaters out there making it perfect.

I also enjoy walking the strip early in the morning watching people make the "walk of shame" from the previous evening shenanigans.

I've discovered a lot of great things off the strip actually that is pretty reasonable, I like to find things to do during the day.. take a break from gambling for a bit:

Fremont is a great one! I hadn't really been before till my last trip, but we had a great time just walking around. Even if you wanna buy stuff, lots of great deals to be had. Gotta get a deep fried Twinkie at Mermaids!

I love the neon boneyard too! I think it's like $20, It's great, good way to kill an hour or two.

Red Rock, driving tour is about $10, really neat!

On the strip, I just like milling around, lots to see. The Bellagio Conservatory is a great one. Watching the Venetian gondolas. Also in the winter and spring they have shows outside I think for Winter in Venice and Carnavale. I like to take people to see the chandeliers at Cosmo. The Wynn lobby, and parasol down are great views. If you can sneak into Country Club you can get some great pictures of their golf course.

I thought Sirens was coming back. They now have the tank filled again.

I liked seeing Turf from Americas got talent doing his thing on the strip. Also love seeing drunk people fall down or drunk girls flash people. Both make me laugh every time.

For $6, a ride on the monorail is always fun (just get on and ride it back and forth the entire route)

There was a free little show at the M & M store on like the 3rd floor. Kind of corny but you put on #D glasses for a short little show.
You can never go wrong with people watching, the little outdoor place at Paris next to Mon Ami Gabi. You can get a cocktail and see the fountains at Bellagio and see all the action pass right by you on the sidewalk.

Then using those cards later to play an adult version of Go-Fish.lol

    Also-
A bit off the strip ( Tropicana East, I think) Pinball hall of fame was a neat little time killer.

Also Valley of Fire is rather nice to see, in addition to the other suggestions. As well as Neon Boneyard down town.

    Eating with strip view
    Visiting LOTS of casinos
    People Watching

Gondola at V/P - not so much. Seems silly. Walking through the mall there, and a few others are okay. We almost never buy anything, but we do walk them and have a good time. After a half hour or so in a mall, we feel we have burned off enough calories to have a few drinks.

For a first time Vegas goer, really just cruising the Strip is so much fun already.
Going in and out of the casinos, watching people and - of course - passing the fountains is all I need to have a great time.
    You can't go wrong really.
