Do you have a game that you hit a really nice win almost immediately the very first time you sat down at it, and you've been vainly chasing a repeat ever since?

My latest is Iron Man. My first spin at that game (on my Birthday) I got a really nice Jericho Missile Bonus.

Since then, any wins are pretty modest, and mostly its just rough.

I did well the first time played it (made a profit) but not much luck with it since.

I put a $20 in Pawn Stars and hit a Chumlee Bonus right off the bat...
Thought it was for $51...then all of a sudden Chumlee said "Double That!" BAM! $102!
Never played it after that, lol.

I dont play slots that often, but occasionally the wife gets bored with blackjack. Last trip I sat down at the CSI slot, put in $100, and either first or second spin I hit a bonus, and by the time it was done I had over $400 credit, so I played it down to the 400 and cashed out. Come to think of it that was the time we were playing slots because I was on the verge of being overserved, so pushing a button at a couple of bucks per spin made more sense than staying at a table game.

No really for a particular game but tend to chase that repeat of a nice win. Who care which game, right.

    Craps

First trip I played more than 10 minutes I happened on 3 tables where I turned $200-300 into $1500-$2500 each time. Of course some went back in on other buyins but it was a good trip.

Obviously it wasn't as easy to win like that my next 10 trips. :) Very difficult to tone down bets when you know how quickly agressive betting on a hot table can turn a massive profit.

First time playing craps I turned $40 in $600. I couldn't lose no matter what I was betting. Place bets, field bets, line bets, it didn't matter. I had no idea how the game worked and I was briefly convinced that there was no way the casino could make money on a game such as this.

Not me, but I have to keep my Lady off Mississippi Stud because she won $800 on four Kings the first time she played. (Or was it a full house? I forget.)

Back when I played slots more, my wife and I enjoyed playing Kitty Glitter and/or Maltese Fortune. We both hit some decent payouts with some regularity in the beginning. Later on, nothing.

Must have been a full house...FOAK is 40:1 so she would have made more than $800 with 4 Kings

My dad hit a FOAK the first time we ever played, and then the next time I played I hit a FOAK...I figured "hey this game is easy"...many many sessions later...I am broke

Was teaching my girlfriend (now wife) how to play Pick'em Poker and she got 4OAK about 3 minutes after we started. Hit another one a little while later and she was convinced we were gonna break the casino $600 bucks at a time. I can see how she would think that.

And it sounds like she was betting $10 ante. Pretty High Roller for this game sadly.

Sorry it turned around for you. It is the easily the swingiest table game out there. Nice house edge on that ante too. Almost 5%.

As for the original thread. Slot games I chase:

Texas Tea: Initially fell in love with it at Mirage in 2001. Played on it for 3 hours on $1. Then hit it for $200 in Alabama by hitting 5 Texas Tea symbols in 2010. My first slot "jackpot".

Pelican Pete: Hit this decent at Flamingo in 2012. Haven't hit a lot since.

Family Guy: Because I like the show, and the game generally seems fun. But it sucked my money away until my last trip to Tunica when I hit a $30 bonus on a 50c bet. So now I'm in the hole less!! :evillaugh

Those few times when I would turn a 200 dollar buy-in at the craps table into a 800 or 900 dollar profit is why I continue to play craps. I love it. Even though these past 4 trips have been devastating to my bankroll.

I keep dreaming of the day I can be part of a monster roll, similar to the roll that happened to Stanley Fujitake at the Cal when he rolled for 3 hours plus.

Being in the right place at the right time is why I go back and try again and again....:thumbsup:

Exactly. I am the same way. Now that I have refined my game and have been able to substantially increase my bankroll I can play more aggressive and feel more comfortable pushing myself when I feel that turn towards a heater on the table.

I have been a part of several nice rolls (Orleans - a couple years ago during SB weekend) and been lucky enough to have rolled 40mins plus myself five times since I have started playing.

Once at my local joint I was headed back up to the room as it was 6am and I finished rebuilding my bankroll from a disastrous craps session earlier at the DD blackjack game.

I walked by the craps pit and the new shift was on so I decided to buy in for $100 just to have some action while I shot the breeze with the dealers whom I like quite a bit.

There was one other guy there and he was just about to shoot....he held them forever. That $100 I bought in with to donk off while BS'ing turned into a serious roll really quick...when he finally sevened out I cashed out $1500

    Yessir!

One of my goals as a craps guy is to be on the table when the damn fire bet hits. I have been close (4pts) but could never eclipse that. I have seen them hit and I am envious of the people on that table!

Once when my girlfriend and I were in Vegas we were at the IP. She doesn't like craps and only really likes roulette. So she wants to play the wheel. I'm like well go ahead...I will just be over there at the dice table. It's got an open spot (stick left - my fave). And she pulled the card on me and said "no I want to play roulette together."

We sit down and start playing and its going ok but then I hear screams coming from the craps table. And more screams. And yelling. And high-fiving. And a guy running around like a banshee.

We get up from the roulette wheel and guess what? Six point fire bet. We see them filling out the tax forms.

I kindly explain what happened and how we're now less $5k and I go slam several shots to numb the pain.

However, when you compute the 'element of risk', i.e. the house edge compared to your AVERAGE bet, the edge is only 1.37%. Much better than 3-Card Poker, for example. However, the swings are big, and it's quite easy to fold and/or lose 10-15 hands in a row. And you basically only put out the big bets (3x the ante) when you're certain to win or push. However, the ante, bet 1x, bet 1x, bet 1x and lose pattern is repeated quite often.

Been lurking on this forum for a while. Made a trip to Vegas from Jan10th -Jan 13th, goal was to play VP for the first time in my life :rolleyes2:. Downloaded some VP on my phone and practiced a little. Spent most of my gambling time on craps table and spent about $50 to $100 in 2 days with no luck. Right before I was leaving for the airport (Running late) deposited last few $1 bills ($7.00 to be exact). And hit 4 of A and won $213. My first win on VP and I am looking forward. Thanks to all those people who contribute on this website. Few years ago I was scared to play craps. For 2 days I was not able to roll dice..Yesterday at Harrah's on a very slow table with only 2 people on it (including me) started to roll and end up rolling for almost 45 mins. By the time I was done there was no place on table. Chips were all over. This guy who bought in with $500 right when I started to roll end up making $6500. Nice of him, he did give a $100 black chip. Again nothing like winning on a craps table. and thanks for all those who contribute to this website.

17 on the roulette table - had 4 or 5 instances when hit them back to back, and this time last year in the local casino hit 3 in 4 spins (think I posted the picture here at the time).

I always increase the 17 bet after it hits just in case :licklips:
