A very strange thing happened to me today. I received a cold call on my home number from a casino host from who said he was from Wynn. This never happened to me before. I didn’t recognize the number so I didn’t answer but he left a VM. He left a name and number, but I couldn’t understand the name. I searched the phone number on the web and it came up with a few hits. What was strange is that the hosts name was on a website I was a few hours earlier and guess what, this guy’s name was there. He was listed in an article talking about Independent Casino hosts. I’ve never played at Wynn so I have no idea how he got my name from viewing a Vegas website. I have a Mac and have private browsing turned on. I have two reservations at Caesar’s coming in February and March. I don’t have any current plans for Vegas after that in 2014, though I’ll probably go again. Do these folks have a list of players from the various casino companies? I’m a Seven Stars at Caesars but I’m not a real big player. I play mostly VP, I usually average about 25,000 to 40,000 a day coin in. How would this guy get my name and home phone number and would it pay to pursue for a future trip? Can independent host get you anything at a casino where you have no gambling history?
it cant hurt and yes. ive recived offers on places ive never stayed at before. rember hosts move around so maybe thats how , properties do data mining theres tons of possibilities. as long as hes legit it cant hurt if your interested in trying a new place
I've only walked through the Wynn and never spent a dime or gambled at all but have twice gotten offers in the mail for free rooms with some small free play. I thought maybe it from Indian casino play as I can't imagine V/P sharing that and that's the only place I played for any significance in LV before receiving them.
LOL. What?!? For starters, a 7-Star Player = $1M coin-in per year (or it used to; now you can do it for $500K if you're smart) But he probably has a connection with CET and wants to "lure" you to Wynn..believe me, with your play you ARE a "Big Player".

LOL- I see many guys on this board that seem to have much bigger bankrolls than me. I guess I'm comparing to them. My daily bankroll is about $3K. I don't consider that very big compared to guys playing $500/hand. If I think about it though, a VP hand last about 7 seconds, I can play 7 - 10 hands at $25. So maybe I under estimate the $.
