best product of any domestic airline i've flown. only thing i can think of is checked baggage fees unless you are in MCS or first. that and they don't fly to many locations (i've flown a few times JFK>LAS and back) you can upgrade (for less$$) from main cabin to MCS at check in 24 hours before your flight if it's available, first at 6hrs. (or sooner if you have elite status with them) MCS get you priority tsa screening, checked bag, free movies, free food/drinks/booze, headphones, and more legroom (but same seat) the nice thing is you can order your food/drinks right through the inflight entertainment screen. i think jetblue has more tv channels, but the with virgin you can start any movie at any time which is nice. since you are from ny, virgin used t4 from jfk, which i don't think is as nice as jetblue t5
I have only flow Virgin America once RTrip from Orlando to San Francisco. Enjoyed the flight. When I fly to London I will only fly Virgin Atlantic Direct! No problems at all!
Flown Virgin NY to LV many times. Nice ! Ordered a fruit + cheese snack - where the fruit was actually fresh ! . One trip I was seated near the middle of the plane. I got very uncomfortable....then, very hot. I stood in the back ( at the toilets for an hour ) Felt fine. Then, a woman who was seated across from me - complained about how "stuffy" it was at her seat. So, that's when I knew it just wasn't me.
I love their service and planes. We used them round trip from JFK in April and again in July. Excellent service both times, on time. They have personal entertainment systems in their Airbus planes, which have roomier seats and more comfortable than the Boeing 737 that Southwest uses. I will use them again if the price is right.
