Every time the jackpots are this high we all talk at work about what we would do, mine never changes, pay off my debt and then go to Vegas, not thinking about when Im coming back and just have a blast out there until I feel the need to come home. I would LOVE to be able to just go there and NOT worry about budget/time/anything before going home and helping out loved ones!

    SO, what would you do?

I can do way better for you than any CD even after taking my 2 and 20. I'll even send you a Christmas gift every year.

And sadly, many lottery winners do just that. I invested my $20 today.:wink2:

I think to properly answer the OP, age and family become a big factor. How long are you going to live?

W/o putting too much thought into it...maximum tax free gifts to close relatives every year.

Scholarship funds for higher education for the needy.

    Multiple charity trusts.

And before anybody thinks I sound too altruistic, a private jet for every trip to Vegas from now on.:evillaugh No more TSA.

Buy properties and become slumlord. Hire "n'er do well" relative to do handyman and landscaping responsibilities and ruin my life with worry.

Ya, I would definitely make sure all the kids in my family were taken care of (and the adults) but then I want no responsibilities what so ever. just want to enjoy what life has to offer without the worries of bills so id hire someone to do that for me.

I'd build my dream home with a ton o' land. I wouldn't go over a million for the home itself.

    Properly fund my recording company.

Set all types of growth funds for mah kids.

Get a full body scan and medical workup.

Buy land where new major roads are being built.

Immediately (but secretly) help some families that are struggling but working hard.

I won't give to any charities directly through regular channels.

I live in San Jose but unfortunately my tickets didn't get a single number right lol. Winning ticket was sold less than 2miles from my house. Damn. They also reported one ticket in Georgia as well.

I would give 5 million to my sister, 1 million to my brother, buy a waterfront house, a boat for fishing with every tricked out gimmick there is, a nice(r) SUV (I'm quite happy with the one I have), a nice cash gift to my friends, give a huge gift to the church and buy all of the small businesses I have ever dreamed of, e.g., a sports bar and grille.

Make a huge donation to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Buy out Ruben Amaro's contract and send him packing. Ditto for Paul Holmgren.

Buy luxury boxes to the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers.

Find a nice TRUSTWORTHY companion and see the things that I always wanted to see.

    Unfortunately, I did not win.

I bought $10 worth....and hit the Mega Ball twice !
    WHOOPEY !
I asked something about "the two powerballs ?" -( I meant Mega balls )
and the jerk clerk printed out two powerball tickets and
    asked for money.
    I said "What ?.....I didn't want a Powerball ticket."
"I can't take this ticket back" he said.
    *
So....I'm in the Powerball drawing.......by accident.
    Does that mean something ?:evillaugh
