    My Trip Report

    Late report back, oh well.

Had a great time winning many silver strikes.

I'd say the loosest machine was at El Cortez, picked up two full sets of their current coins plus a rare .999 silver coin that appears to be a fairly old design.

The Mirage machines were the hardest to get a seat on, but eventually got in during a break in a $60 Mirage poker tourney, that netted two coins.

Sam's Town now only has one machine I spotted but also managed to win a few there, again scored a rare .999 silver one, just in a clear case, bonus.

While playing at 4 Queens the Silver Strikers Club were having their tournament function going on, the machines were packed and there was even lines to get on them.

These machines were also quite loose. While playing got chatting to a few of the club members and was introduced to the $300 strike, awesome. I was not aware of these, but the bug had bitten. I played and won numerous coins, including a blue cap of the same $300 strike design.

I bought some strikes off players who were going to cash them at the cage, between $10-$15 each.

I was able to get the last 4 QUEENS $300 strike by trading in 30 $10 strikes, making sure none were .999 silver versions.

Now back home in Australia, looking forward to the Venetian having machines ready for my next trip, still some 10 months away.

    Happy striking all.

Found these machines on the last trip at 4-Queens, they seemed to be fairly loose. Won 5 of these tokens on a $10 investment.

How do you know if you are lucky to get one of the .999 silver ones?

I believe the .999 will have a red cap cover over the strike vs. the usual clear.
The way to really tell is to look for the .999 on the strike itself.

We've got over 180 of them. Husband was always lucky winning them.

Luckily, it was before they changed from the .999 silver token to mixed metals.
I think that was back around 2006 or so, when they started realizing the actual silver token was
worth more than the $10 prize?

We even have a $200.00 silver strike from Imperial Palace.
Hub traded in 20 of the strikes for that one.
Comes in a nice blue velvet case.

They have bought machines, Palazzo as well.

They are in the process of having the coins designed and pressed.

No time frame has been given as to when they will be in use.

Great news! But Shelton will probably tighten up the machines, like the rest of his casinos, and you will have to invest $500 to get a $2.50 strike.
