so they started these bj tourneys yes open to the public but there very long can be as long as 5 hours of your time if u make it to the finals to win only 100$ so what else is there to do to kill time but gamble.

as ive posted before i like to play bj by myself ,
sat down and was playing 200- 400$ a hand and double and splitting ,i place basic strategy and they pit people and security got very nervous , on the phones watching me and just very uncomfortable.

started loosing dealer hitting all her bust cards so yes i have a mouth on me and a swear word or 2 comes out when im losing 800$ a hand.so they tell me to watch my langaue.

after taking a beating at bj i go to baccarat and play 500$ a hand on banker and again being followed and watched.

after feeling so unwelcome i just left and went to a casino that could handle my type of bets.much better vibe
ps ive never recived an offer from them and ive played there before.

came in 4th in the bj tournet won 100$ after buy in fees

I can agree with that...when I was playing greens and blacks at the crap table and winning, they were sweating their balls off (stupid too, because craps is a house-advantage game!)
Same with you though...they just don't want their shift to show a huge loss (if you got on a run betting blacks, you could easily wipe out a five-figure loss for that shift)

another funny thing cashing a 500$ chip or a few blacks they have to call and verify where you played so they call and double check.
i mean if you cant handle cashing a 500$ chip maybe you should be in a new bussiness:thumbsup:

Yup! I thought that was weird (not to mention their $500 chips are an ugly BROWN and LOOK SO DIRTY!!)
LoL, I walked across the street to Rio, won at dice, and took 2 bananas to the cage ($1000 chips) and they didn't even blink an eye.

I'm surprised that you were treated this way. I play a good bit at Gold Coast and have never noticed this. I'm a low roller but have been on craps tables with that kind of action and dealers were great with me and the high rollers. I play mainly during the early morning and during the day so maybe it's the PM shift. Anyway with that kind of action you can play in much nicer places where you are wanted.

Does not surprise me one bit.I 86'd myself from playing BJ there long ago and I usually stay there a couple days every LV trip. The vibe is awful,I swear the oriental dealers there want to see you lose, even if I was tipping..Once one was training another while I was playing one-on-one,playing a chip for the dealer and losing.Just sweeping the chips into her rack..No "Thanks for the try",no comment at all.I told the trainee that a comment or two would go a long way for her in the future. The trainer just nodded but didn't like my attitude..

But that said I still like the GC for the low-rolling aspects of the place, the VP bars and cheap clean rooms and seeing the same employees year after year.

This is a real stretch, but TOMTWI maybe we have met there one day a few years ago at one of the back bars there? I had a nice conversation with a Tom and talked about Royal Flushes as I hit mine there the day before? Showed him the picture on my phone.

Though I enjoy the tables at Gold Coast more than any in town, I had to stop going because they consistently got my bet recorded incorrectly and never gave me room comps despite 7 hours of play, which apparently was not recorded at all even thouh I spoke directly to two different pit bosses about my play. I gave up with them.

i went across the street to the palms and played and went back to the goldcoast only for the finals, came in 4th.

dont think ill be going back for there tourney 5 hours is to long maybe once its nice out so i can kill time at the pool otherwise theres nothing to do but gamble and i wont give them my bussines and i doesnt seem like they want mine.

i was told they want slot not table players:grrr:

That's pretty much true of all casino's. Slot players much more profitable than a decent basic strategy BJ player.

James: I don't think that was me. Next time you hit a royal I'll be sure to be there!
