Has anyone found an app to track your wins and losses while playing?

The old piece of paper and pencil always get lost.

Does anyone actually make note of the time and machine # they play on?

I don't count on the win/loss statements alone. If it's a lower play day, I don't use my cards.

I just use notepad as well. I've looked at any available iphone app I could find and all of them were weak in my opinion. Over engineered in the sense that they required way more keystrokes than necessary and weren't as customizable as they should be.

Using notepad it takes me all of maybe 10 seconds to input everything. The date/time are recorded automatically. So it's just casino, game, denom/avg bet, p/l, credits earned if a machine. Put that all on one line and then just input to a spreadsheet after the trip.

Well, after reading the feedback on the app page, looks like its the old faithfull pen/paper.
But.... I guess you could just use the voice recorder in your smart phone?? Play it back when you get back to your room/home/pre drunken state!!

I forgot to mention that this app allows you to email (.csv) your tracked history and open in Excel. Pretty neat! If anyone is using this app, please let us know if you like it.

I didn't like it at all. It's buggy as hell. I played around with it and most of the time couldn't get one of the fields to accept any input. I think the cash out. Like other similar apps it has unnecessary keystrokes to go back and forth. Worst of all it only accepts trips as a city AND casino. So if you go to Vegas and play at multiple casinos like I do then you have to create different trips for each one. Really stupid in my opinion. Notepad is still the most efficient.

Are you suggesting Notepad on iPhone? I will be changing to iPhone for my next phone. In the meantime, looking at Notepad on my ipad, it doesn't seem to export.

Thanks for the feedback. I had the same issue with making an entry and thought it was "tech-unsavvy" me doing something wrong. Too bad it is buggy!

This one is for slots and video poker only

I have used this app for the past 8 months and it has done its job,but can and is buggy at times and not the easiest to input. With the Ios7 Update the last time I used it it hung up and I could not get it to work so used notepad. This was for a day trip to AC several weeks back. On my trips to Vegas I have used it for tracking all play and then go back to the room and input the info into a custom spreadsheet for tracking I developed each day, so I do not use the export feature as it does not work all that great, at least when I initially tried it.

I will be trying it again tomorrow on a day trip to AC and will see if it gives me trouble after several Ios7 updates. I also downloaded the Gamble Tracker app mentioned several posts above and plan to give that a try as well and will report back my impressions.

Just an update, the app casino tracker on iTunes for Iphone is broke since I updated to iOS7 and confirmed it today trying to use it while at Borgata in AC. It will let me enter one session then trying to save the second session it crashes. I will be checking to see if there is an update to the app but I doubt it. This one worked semi ok if not the most intuitive app before iOS7.

The second app Gamble Track also seems broke unless I am completely dopey, it will let me enter cash in but once I do I cannot enter cash out or notes in the program. I will be looking to see if I am doing something wrong, but as stated above it seems even if it worked, more work than needed and not the most intuitive for data entry.

I would, if I had not already purchased these steer clear of these until they are either updated or a better alternative comes along. Back to notepad for now.

I used Checkbook my last trip. It's an iOS app that is what you think it is. I changed the categories to account for my gambling (e.g., video poker, slots, craps). For the payee I put the casino, since that helps me remember where I was. In the memo section I would sometimes put the kind of slot I was playing. You can export into CSV, HTML, or QIF formats and email from the app. It also provides reports by account or category. It was stable my entire trip: no complaints at all!

I always use google drive (docs). It works great on an Android and works OK on an iPhone. Plus you can see it from anyway.

Create a simple spreadsheet with drop downs. Easy!

I tried using casino tracker on my android phone one trip. It allowed you to input what you won or loss and at what game you played but for me that wasn't the info I wanted. I wanted an app that would allow me to record my buy-in, what I ended up with and then show me what I won or lost.

I piece of paper and a pencil worked better for me.

I would love an app for Android that would record the date, time, GPS location (casino), let me record the machine number, even take a picture of the machine, enter how much money I put in and how much I take out and at what time. Need it for the tax records for when I hit the big pay out! <as if>

Yup. Use my ipad so much decided it was easier to have one system instead of finding apps that work for both.

    Will check out checkbook app.

I too think I like he idea of an app that saves my location.
