    Hi folks :)
About 3 weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Total Rewards that I've been given 3,200 tier credits as a bonus for how much they "appreciate me." I have received the bonus which put me up to about 9,600 TC total (Platinum ranges from 5,000-15,000 I believe) and what seemed to be the catch is after they stated about the bonus, it said something like "now achieving Diamond status is easier than ever."
I have noticed that I got an extra event invite, and I think my rooms of late (I'm a local) might be in the next "level" of quality. So, I want to know three things: Who else has gotten "bonus tier credits?" From past experience, how have they affected your overall comps package? And, does anyone know if there's some "secret catch" behind this (they expect you to play or spend this much in a certain time, or you're risking having crappy rewards next year)?
Possible factors involved are: Moved to Henderson in April (15 minute drive to the strip), had 4,000-ish TC when I moved, my average bet and "average daily theoretical loss" is wayyyy down since I now can gamble anytime I want to.
Thanks for any info folks, and have a great day/night! :nworthy:

there was another thread about this 3 weeks ago when everybody got the bonus. yes, a lot of people got bonuses. no, it doesn't make your comps better. it's just incentive to get you to make a trip before the end of the year to hit that next tier.

    As Shifter said.

Don't forget about the bonus levels for play:

    Earn this many

500 Tier Credits +125 Tier Credits bonus!
1,000 Tier Credits +1,000 Tier Credits bonus!

Two days at 2,500 each and you are Diamond.

I received an extra 6000 to add to the 19,000 I had. 25,000 + now.

A week after the gift, they sent me an email telling me to go check my new offers. These new offers included free Shania Twain and Elton tickets and free Caesar weekend stays. They also threw in $300 in free play for a Paris stay.

I have NEVER been given these kind of offers before, and never ANY free play. My suspicion is that a data miner in marketing is now including me in his offers as I am over 25k now. How I got there is probably not something he would have time to investigate for each and every player.

No the data miner knows you didn't earn those points. It's that sophisticated. They just turned on better deals to go with the extra points to get you to play and hopefully more. Plus those deals are probably for slower times. If it doesn't pan out, it won't last.

I'm with Leo and I got the gift as well. My host at Horseshoe said with TR raising their requirements this year that a ton of people wouldn't be able to keep their status. So this was an end of the year goose to make sure those diamond lounges didnt sit empty. They thought if they raised the bar people would gamble more, and they would kick out the almosties. The ones that barely got to that level. But I guess they raised it too much and this is them trying to fill out their roster again.

    Interesting.

I would have thought with the bonus levels, the number of Diamonds would jump up. Now that I think about, I would guess the vast majority of "regular" folks would have no idea about those bonus points and did not get them.

By "regular", I mean those not so consumed with sites like this. LOL!

My bff's hubby received the bonus with only one trip to CET Council Bluffs this year. I did not receive it with 2 Vegas & 1 CB trips. So who knows. I think a certain level of ADT may have been required to receive it.

No, people who are NOT showing frequent visits to CET props are getting this, in this case most high ADT players are not getting it.

It is not about how much you have played - it is just an effort to prompt some people to play more by the end of the year to get to another level.

It depends on peoples playing habits. My mother was devoted to Harrah's until they left St. Louis. But she consistently went every week with $200 and generally just played until she lost it at penny slots. :grrr: The way she played, she wouldn't be likely to get 1000+ Tier on any given trip (hell, if she runs bad enough, she wouldnt even get 500 Tier), thereby making it more difficult for her to make diamond. Same for my g/f's dad and his platinum status. Either of them would only earn a daily tier bonus if they got "lucky" at the casino. I also wish my mom would have burned more of CET comps before they ran out of town. :(

The new method is awarding those with bigger ADTs who show up less and hurting the ones they depend on the most outside of Vegas. The addicted ones that consistently show up to play and donate to the casino!

Harrahs absolutely loves that type of player, I am sure she got decent perks even w a low ADT and not being diamond.
