I played there on the opening day 3 years ago but haven't been there ever since.

Today I got an e-mail with an offer for 2 comped nights and $95 in "identity play"
Less than fantastic but I've never stayed there so I decided to go ahead a book.

Can anyone tell me what I might expect regarding resort fee?
In the reservation confirmation it says:

In addition to, and not reflected in reservation totals, guests will be subject to a nightly resort fee of $25 per room plus applicable taxes.

I have never been charged a resort fee there. Every comp room I have gotten at Cosmo has been truly comped.

Same here. I've stayed there at least 3 times using comp rooms and have never been charged anything. End of this month I will be staying with comp rooms again so I guess I will find out if this is something new.

Same here too - stayed twice in comp'd room and no resort fee to pay.

Currently have an offer for 2 nights until the end of Oct, but not back until Christmas so fingers crossed that another offer comes along later.

I'm in the same boat. I had several offers when they first opened but they never had availability on my dates. Go figure. I've played there very little but basically just got the same offer, two free nights, but I didn't get any free play. SO BUMMED! Lol. I figured when I called, they wouldn't have anything available, but they did, so I am double booked our first night. I asked about resort fees and was told no. Winner winner chicken dinner. The night we arrive, we are checking into our "other" hotel, and then I wanted to show the newbies in our group Bellagio, then go have some drinks at Chandelier Bar, which we have meant to go to our last four trips and never have. After I booked, I realized, we have a rather large Marriott Gift Card so that now I can charge everything back to our room, and now be able to use this gift card for the charges. You can't use it if your not staying there. It's a total win win for us. We may even grab some wine, some secret pizza and have social hour in the room. We only have a terrace king studio room, but that should be large enough for our party of ten don't you think? To be able to relax and take in the sights?

It is kind of strange to get this offer out of the blue. I think it was good thru the end of the year.

Nice! My promo went down by 40 dollars, which I think is more than fair as I've lowered my play there. I called to book and was told the New Years Eve party/promo also comes with free Bruno Mars tickets.

I may shoot out to Vegas in the morning otherwise I will lose this promo.
I am coming in next week on the 925 promo chip one.

If only I had some discipline.

I got one the other day, two free meals with any three night hotel stay. Cosmo is too rich for my blood, sadly, as I'd love to stay there. Oh well, maybe I'll do some playing there next weekend and hope to get a better offer for my next trip in April.

i just got a new offer good until 12/25 via email a couple days ago so I'm guessing they're sending out the Dec offers now. Offer is for 2 nights in a terrace studio (king bed), or city view w/ 2 queens + $375 in promo chips. Have been trying to get some details if these are play once chips, or play until you lose, but the people who book the reservations don't really seem to know/are just guessing. I called twice and got 2 different answers (1st one said play until you lose, 2nd one said play once).

I'm taking the offer either way, so I guess it really doesn't matter what the answer is....

Seems like Cosmo is making an effort to extend more offers to players. I've noticed a significant increase in the number of mailers and emails from my host there over the past two months

The rules on promo chips can change at any time, so whatever answer you get now may not be valid tomorrow. You will just have to find out when you get to the tables.

Seems like they are trying to get new players. I've played there that opening month and have been staying there ever since comped. I've gotten the fall offer like many of you but for only two nights and $125 free play. No food.

Seems like the free play amount is related to your average bet size. Do others find that to be true?

To answer my own question, they didn't charge resort fee,or rather I
had to sign that I agreed to $0 resort fee, i.e. I got free internet etc.

I appreciate the Cosmo comp discussion, since I would love to figure out a (cheap and easy) way to increase my offers. I am only a gold level player and my offers are usually free buffets, $200 resort credit and slightly reduced room rate! I would love some comped rooms. Are you all platinum card holders?

I started out at Platinum when they first opened and let it lapsed and went to gold because I was disappointed with their changes to the once glorious VIP lounge and a few other things. However this past year I have let my Gold status with Cosmo lapsed and I continue to get offers of 2 to 3 nights comp, with free play, though no resort credit. I've taken them up on their offer twice this year and also booked one for Feb 2014 and so far no resort fees. Offers from Cosmo like with most casino player clubs aren't tied to tier levels but a average of your casino play with them for the last 2 or 3 visits, though of course there are exceptions that we hear about.

This is one place I haven't been able to figure out. I was probably undercomped for a long while and now the offers are coming out almost every two weeks and are way too good for my play level the last several months. Like Evoni, I let my worthless platinum status lapse and there's been no change to the offers. It's clear they are trying to lure known players back in or new players (or are just clueless). Knowing I was going to end my relationship, I've low played them on maybe 5 or so trips since this past June and have barely had my promo reduced by more than $100 dollars.
