As promised Oct 1 Tier credits back to 0

Just thought I should check and see if MLife wiped out my Tier credits on Oct 1 and yes they did. Everything else remained. I am still gold. So guess I gotta start all over trying to earn gold or higher again.

I guess a person shouldn't get too excited about comps and stuff with them changing things all the time. Just play and enjoy Vegas for what it is.

Zeroed out here as well...as it should be. Platinum status remains...as it should be. I did get a corporate offer via email for MGM today (3 comp nights, $200 resort credit, 2 free tickets to Ka), which is not showing on the MLife site. This offer is good through April 30, 2014.

Also 0, but should have dropped to Gold after 92K tier credits last year, instead still show Platinum. I'm sure it will be fixed before my trip next week...

    I hope not!

After our last trip, the Mlife website showed we were still in Sapphire with 24,631 tier credits. After several emails, snail mail and a phone call to corporate accounting to prove that we did not receive over 16K in tier credits for our hotel stay alone, we remained just outside of Pearl status. Checked yesterday to confirm our status and lo and behold we are now Gold.

Hopefully we both stay just where we are.

I called vip at The Hotel yesterday about something and the girl randomly told me that I have zero TC and it will show in one week what I am at. I am Platinum now. She said it looks like I will be at square one again. I said I have been coming for 20 years to this property 3x per year and last years I never went due to travel and that what happens nice!..... But I don' get it my host there just comped 6 night2 and food and bev 2 weeks ago for a trip I am making in Dec...... etc....

0 is so sad ... the only good news about 0 is it makes it very easy to see exactly how many I earn next trip.

    Makes perfect sense.

Comps are based on THEO and not on tier.

Because the color of your card is that just that, a color.

All the card color means is what perks you get for showing the card, like the buffet line pass... it doesn't mean they have wiped out your entire history of play within their casinos and are now treating you like somebody who has never set foot in one of their properties.

it is so funny that even though most of the posters on this board (including me) who are experienced with comps know that your tier level is meaningless in most ways... yet most of us are so intrigued by our tier credits that we constantly log on to the web site to check our tier credits and get in a tizzy around this topic - including me!

Just another way of keeping score; gamblers are obsessed with keeping score!

HA HA I like the colour for the reason of not having to wait at the buffet etc....

Yeah, the VIP lounge/check-in access is the big thing - Gold won't get you in at some places, if I remember correctly. There's also the free Shark Reef and secret garden access, buffets, taxi line...and for machine players, the extra points.

BTW, I'm back down to Gold now, as expected.

actually it's a lot more than that as a good portion of his play was at the Beau where the TC earning rate is much lower than Vegas. I think it's about 10 per $1 theo at the Beau. I only had about 2.6M TCs, but my theo for the year was about 120k.

buffet line pass? shit, dude, hook a brother up!

How did you find that out? That you dropped down? Was it on the Mlife website??

I played Monday at the MGM Grand Detroit.

Bought in for $100 on a $15 table. Lost it in absolutely no time. Said screw this and decided to head over to Greektown casino cause all of their tables are S17.

I now have 8 tier credits on the MLife site from that $100.

At that rate, it'd only cost me $2.5 million to hit platinum! :poke:
