the funny thing is that is not exactly an offer of "pre sales" that is an offer to help fund the thing to even get it up and going

the site those "offers" are listed on is a micro-venture capital type site (there is another term for it I believe) where people try and get small amounts of money from many individuals to get their idea funded and off the ground

as it shows on the actual site the "goal" is $75,000 and while every business has a sales goal few of them make it publicly known especially if they are doing such a poor job of reaching that goal

it is no different than SkyVue putting up a "pre-sales" site with a goal of 50 million dollars when in reality if the can't get that cash and a lot more there will be no ride

you will notice right on the site is states "funders' and "contribute now"

    and then it has this

    Flexible Funding

This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: September 15, 2013 - November 01, 2013

well of course you would expect that the campaign you help "fund" would get all funds even if they do not raise their total goal I mean after all does a charity give back donations if they do not raise their desired goal

but what I really think that is telling you is that even if they do not raise all the cash and the venue never opens they are going to take your cash and expect you to make good on your "funding contribution"

Really? Give Gary Loveman money period?

I'm going to start a campaign for a first class Vegas trip. $57,563 is the goal. Please send in your donations. (If I don't reach my goal, I'll keep the money and send you pictures of my 2nd class trip)

I would do this but what is the weight limit? I'm 257 pounds. The Fremont Ziplines weight limit is 250. It goes down to 200 when it's windy. I have 7 pounds to go!!!!! I'm RIDING that damn thing in 2014. I'm DETERMINED! First pic of me at about 300 pounds on July 1st. The 2nd pic is me about 2 weeks ago at 257!

I have my serious doubts that this project will be started let alone completed. Making available "advanced" ticket sales to the "Adventurous" raises some red flags.

I red bolded the important part in your post because I don't think it bodes well that New Capital Ventures is trying to raise funds through Indiegogo which allows funding if the goal is not reached AND that NCV elected to use flexible funding. I would be very hesitant buying into this offering.

First, congratulations on the weight loss. But damn, even at 257, that must make it hard to navigate those narrow aisles all day long!

Note: They are already fully funded, but are using this vehicle for special presales.

    QUOTE FROM THEIR SITE:

    Why use indiegogo?

Quite simply, we love the site! After watching so many projects with the same entrepreneurial spirit that started our company have the ability to be launched through indiegogo.com, we felt at right home kicking off our very first exclusive offerings here. While the VooDoo Zip Line project is fully funded and ready to launch in matter of weeks, we felt indiegogo was the perfect site to reach the audience that we wanted to experience our ride. There are a ton of cool projects on the site, and being able to be a part of that melting pot made it a no-brainier for us to launch our initial campaign on indiegogo.com

what's that a FULLY FUNDED project in Vegas oh sweet let me get my checkbook and go ahead and write a check for this......oh wait my checking account is empty because the 5 trillion other fully funded projects in Vegas that I invested in went broke before I ever got any return on my investment :confused2:

there was the big Ferris Wheel, the 400 condo projects, the golf courses, the water parks, the renovations to SLS (no no the 12 other times they were fully funded before they were actually fully funded), the 2 dozen new casino projects, the 5 football stadiums, some stuff downtown (I did not even know what it was I just knew fully funded and downtown so I was in), the bigger zip line downtown, the cork screw roller coaster (this one is going to be the big cha ching), the high speed rail, the low speed rail and of course my all time best Vegas investment dreamed up by an obvious LSD dropping crack smoker http://www.eurasialasvegas.com/

in Las Vegas "fully funded" means we have underestimated by 75% what it will cost to build this project and the developers have about $5 dollars cash and a TITO for .75 cents to their name and so please invest with us while we learn how to be developers on your dime and pay ourselves 6 figure salaries to do so and keep coming back to ask you for more money to make the project "more better bigger grander" even though it has been cut in half from the original vision

That makes no sense to me. Indiegogo is not a site for pre-sales of fully functional or funded products. If you want pre-sales at discount then run a Groupon which still offers multiple discount / offering variations.
