I will be staying at the Cosmo in October and I have heard that they will change your Identity card to Gold if you show them your Diamond rewards card which we have is this true and has anybody tried it ?
Yes it's true, I did it in August. It is good for 1 year only and if you don't play enough to remain gold with them you will never be able to do that again.
Thanks for the info will give it a try, we don't gamble much in Cosmo but if it lasts a year we can use it again as we have flights booked for April.
yes but there gold card is worthless unless you want to skip the buffet line. mgm platnium gets identy plantium
What are the Identity levels and benefits? I'm sure its on their website, but I can't seem to find it
Yes, its on their website, down at the bottom of the page: http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/join/aboutidentity.aspx However going back to the original post: when Cosmopolitan first opened quite a few people did this and most reported that they really got no benefit out of being bumped up a level for card matching - the problem is that you might have a "better" card but you didn't earn that level through normal means (playing in their casino) so as far as comps and offers and any extra benefits you were treated much like a "Silver" Identity card member.
the only true "perk" was a free car to a strip club and the line pass at the buffet. there is no lounge anymore that I know of, just VIP check in that has coffee tea, some fruit and some spotty drink service the rest like "free artifact" if I cant eat it or drink it, its of little use. " upgraded turn down service" never had it done I guess my trip to vegas are so related to gambling I rarely use other services. if its a guys trip we don't even have the room cleaned. fk
Turn down service- That's actually funny. 5 days in March no turn down service and no housekeeping for 2 days!
I've been Gold since the first full year Cosmo was open. I stay a few times per year and I have never had turn down service. I don't really care but I do find it funny that it's still listed as a benefit. Once Identity did away with the room upgrade for Gold, the status became pretty useless. I'm just glad that Cosmo finally started shelling out corporate room offers late last year. Now, if they'd just start releasing them more than one month out...yeah, not likely.
Never made it over there in two visits this year to have them match my MLife Platinum which will expire in a few days, but I believe if you're Platinum at Cosmo you can use their VIP check in area. That was the main reason I was going to get the match. Too late now.
im going there next weekend... im gonna request the turn down and see what its about. ive never asked about the "artifact" or a arrival amenity. if I remember ill ask em. fk
