I love eating cold cuts (salami, chorizo, pastrami etc) after a few adult beverages, where is the best place to stock up on high quality meat? Both strip and downtown would be good.

Harrie's Bagelmania on East Twain is a great old school Jewish deli. Just a short drive from the strip...

Vegas falls a bit short when it comes to Deli's. Downtown there's Binions and Jason's deli after that I draw a blank. On the strip, only Carnegie Deli comes to mind. Oh, there's one at NYNY. I'm pretty sure it's still there. You might try looking for antipasta on menus.

Oddly enough, it was Texas de Brazil that I've had the best prosciutto and salami slices, with cheese.

If you happen to be out near Summerlin or near South Point, this place is great:

Not worth a special trip, but if you're in the area it's worth it. Never been to the South location, but we ate at the Summerlin locations numerous times when we lived in LV.

Gallaghers is the Steakhouse. The deli is called Greenburgs Deli. I've eaten there, it was pretty good, although I enjoyed Carnegie's at Mirage better.....

Great sandwich place. They really stack up on the meat too. Well worth it especially if you get food credits.

Seconding Zoozacrackers. Excellent deli. They even carry Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda!

Yeah, I like Carnegie Deli @ Mirage as well. Not a deli in the truest sense of the word, but as close and good as you'll find on the Strip. A great place to get a stacked sandwich to go and take it to their Sports Book for the football games.

Carnegie is an automatic every time we go to Vegas. The cornbeef sandwich is 3 sanwiches worth in 1.

We will make it a point to eat here at least once a trip whether staying at NYNY or not.

Carnegie was closed for remodeling starting Tuesday this week. I didn't see anything that said when they would reopen.
