I will be in Vegas next week Tues-Fri. Does anyone know where I can find $5 craps during the day? I'm not looking to go any further north than Treasure Island. For what its worth, I'm staying at Aria. So I will be in the Mid-South Strip area. I'm curious if casinos like NYNY or Planet Hollywood, etc. would have $5 craps during the day?

    thanks

A little further north but I noticed Harrahs was also $5 during the day on at least one table but usually on all. Went up to $10 at night.

Echoing what every one else has said, during the week during the day you can usually find $5 craps just about everywhere except the Bellagio, Caesars, Cosmo. You may even find tables at those resorts if you get there early enough.

Only thing bad about Casino Royale is that it gets EXTREMELY smoky in there when it gets the least bit crowded( esp around the table bar area)..

You can possibly find it everywhere during the day, including Aria. I've seen it there before.

I'm totally "that guy" when it comes to Craps. I'm intimidated by it but keep wanting to just pull the trigger and try it.

Monte Carlo and NYNY have craps lessons from 11AM-Noon and they open up a $5 table right after. If you don't mind playing with rookies, you can sneak in on those tables when they open up (from my experience, most true rookies get intimidated after the craps lesson and don't stick around anyways).

It's a really easy game to figure out. Everything revolves around the number 7.

The first roll (come out roll) of the shooter (person with the dice) is to establish a number (the puck on the table will be "on" a number if he's still trying to hit the number a second time, or be "off" when the shooter is in between games). Those six numbers on either side of the table (4-6, 8-10). Once he hits one of those numbers, the puck will be on that number and his goal is to roll the same number again before rolling a 7.

You can bet whether or not you think he's going to hit the same number twice: Pass, he will, Don't Pass, he won't. Put that bet on the table before he starts to roll.

Place bets on the six numbers above pay out and stay up as long as the shooter is still rolling to hit the number a second time (while the puck is "on").

There are various other bets on the next roll or the next time a number comes up (one hope rolls, hard ways, etc). Those are located in the center of the table.

And, there are other various nuances of games, like odds, come bets, two way bets, but those are things that you'll learn while you play and you can ask the dealer/boys what the various bets are and they can explain. Any time you're having trouble, they'll usually explain things to you nicely. Just make sure to ask when they're not busy.

Oh, and don't stick your hands down while the dice are being thrown or cheer for a seven.

Go early in the morning to a place like Harrahs, MC or Paris and the tables are usually light or actually empty. It would be a good opportunity to slow play and not feel rushed. You can even ask questions provided no other players are at the table.

I really miss the $3 craps at Bills. It wasnt as super fun as a reg table since you bet on an automatic screen but there was still a live thrower. A small bank roll can go a long way and the drink service was superb when I was there last. RIP

Last month I was surprised to find a $5 table at Cosmo mid-morning on a Friday.

:drunk:Naaah just go for it ! The funnest game in a casino is the Craps table, thus all the screaming and cheering. You can teach yourself online for free. You won't regret it !

+1!!!!! I've said as much in other threads. Margaritaville is a GREAT place to play craps. Gorgeous CW, friendly crew, table is right next to a big open door so its almost like playing outside (airconditioned outside :)

Be sure and read the craps how to threads in the gaming section. They are great and are solely responsible for me finally trying craps on my last trip.
